Saint Patrick, St Columba, St Brigid, pray for Ireland and the 70 million Irish âdiasporaâ!

The St. Michael prayer is a short, approved text that generations of Catholics have recited after Mass. Removing it because it is âadditionalâ does not serve the liturgy. It simply discards a practice the people already know and want.
This is a similar pattern we see with migration. A single preferred emphasis is treated as the mind of the Church, while the rest of the teaching (the right of nations to regulate borders for the common good) is quietly set aside.
In both cases the faithful are told that what they have long practiced or believed must now be catechized away.
YCOM exists to keep the full teaching in view. Nations may regulate migration. Charity without order is not Catholic. The same principle applies inside the parish: a bishop who reforms by subtraction rather than by fidelity will meet resistance from the people he is called to serve.
The prayer can and should stay.
We simply have to stop appointing bishops whose ability to manage exceeds their desire to.
The Francis Papacy in particular has been dominated by choices of bishops who are perfect reflections of the failed 1980s version of American Catholicism.
There is not one intelligent person who would spend time in any Diocese, look over the landscape and think to themselves âYou know what we really need to do? Ban the Saint Michael prayer after mass.â
Final note on this topic:
Not two months ago a left-wing publication put out an article about why we shouldnât pray that Saint Michael prayer after mass.
If you do not think this is a coordinated effort, you havenât been paying attention.

You set-up, framed, and spied on an incoming President. You should set this one out Hussein.
It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government canât selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But thatâs exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota.
To understand why this is so appalling, itâs important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administrationâs fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country.
Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone â all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case.
Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And itâs not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies â from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve.
In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omarâs life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and sheâs been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota.
The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omarâs political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, thereâs no reason to believe it will stop with her â or that future presidents, in either party, wonât do the same.

The entire first half of the game was fun and pleasant. No one cared that we were there. We were talking to our seat neighbors and enjoying.
Then in the 2nd half someone decided we should be kicked out. For a t-shirt.
I didn't capture the half of it. There were so many more people screaming in our faces and saying we should kill ourselves.
4 womenâs sports activists were told to kill themselves, cussed out, & flipped off by Valkyries fans at Game 1 of the WNBA Finals in San Francisco.
A few fans tried to get them ejected.
The WNBA should condemn these fans actions.

May, 2016. CNN does a segment entitled "A Day with ICE in a so-called Sanctuary City."
CNN literally rode around with ICE from the break of dawn until nighttime, watching while ICE conducted raids and arrested illegals. ICE arrested some right at their jobs.
CNN was not criticizing ICE. They were celebrating ICE. It was "exclusive access" during the Obama years and CNN considered it a privilege to get to watch ICE work.
ICE even made a "mistake" arrest. CNN had no problem with it.
Six months later Trump won the election and ICE was then labeled the gestapo.

Starlink slowed down for a couple days in Ukraine so a bunch of Europeans and a bunch of Democrats have declared that Elon Musk is the most evil person to ever live.
"Elon is the worst human being ever."
"As soon as our technology catches up to Elon's, we will boycott his products!"
"SpaceX and Starlink are dead!"
Look at you fools go. All because Elon allegedly didn't do everything in his power to help Ukraine.
Wait until you dumb f*cks hear about your hero, Barack Obama.
After Putin annexed Crimea and moved 30,000 troops to the Ukrainian border, Obama refused to give Ukraine weapons to defend itself. And he refused for years.
Surely you Ukraine fans remember that right?
Surely you remember the President of Ukraine standing before Congress, begging for weapons to defend Ukraine. You must because you all love Ukraine.
Surely you remember Obama's speech in 2014 at the NATO summit. If you don't, you should watch Fox News because they are currently playing my video of his speech.
During his speech Obama said that Russia was a regional power that posed no threat to America, even after Putin invaded part of Ukraine.
How could that be? We are told now that if Putin takes Ukraine, he could take the entire world. Was Obama lying back then? Impossible, Obama is incapable of that.
During that same speech Obama also said that Ukraine should work out its own future and that many Ukrainians in fact had allegiance to Russia. Obama said that countries regularly break international law and that it wasn't our problem. How could he say that?
Obama sounded like "Putin's Puppet" right? You fans of Ukraine must be so angry at Obama.
Here's a video of the Ukrainian President begging before Congress for weapons after Putin took Crimea.
Say it you Ukraine lovers. Say that Obama is worse than Elon Musk. Will you? Nah. You all are frauds.
Also included in the video is Biden in 2018 being asked about the fact that Trump gave Ukraine the weapons to defend itself that Obama would not. Biden said that he agreed with Trump and that he had spent years arguing to Obama to supply Ukraine those same weapons.
Come on Ukraine fans. Speak out about Obama like you do about Elon and Trump. đ

Seriously, shut up.
The amount of taxes we have to pay is ridiculous. Let me lay it out for ya, son.
I work hard all week and earn a salary, which comes in a biweekly paycheck. But before I see a cent of it, the federal government takes its share. Depending on your income bracket, they take 10â37% of that right off the top. Then, it gets taxed again at 15.3% for FICA: 12.4% gets stolen for Social Security and 2.9% goes to Medicare.
Then depending on which state you live in, you might be required to pay state income tax. States like Florida and Tennessee have none, some have a flat rate (e.g., Idaho and Georgia), and others have progressive rates based on income brackets. In California, high income earners take a 13.3% hit.
Then after the federal and state governments have gotten their greedy hands on my paycheck, suppose I decide to be responsible and save a portion of what's left in a savings account and earn a little interest on it. Guess what? The IRS wants a cut of that, too. So, the money I earned that was already taxed is now subject to the same income taxes.
Let's now suppose I decide to invest some of that in the stock market. I buy shares in a company (e.g., Tesla), take on the risk of losing my investment, and hopefully make a profit. Well, if I sell those shares for a gain, Uncle Sam comes knocking on my door again. Depending on how long I held the investment and my taxable income, I may owe 0%, 15%, or 20% in federal long-term capital gains taxes, potentially another 3.8% in net investment income tax, plus applicable state taxes. And short-term gains can be taxed at the ordinary income tax rates of 10â37%.
And if I decide to spend my money? You guessed it. More taxes, baby! 45 states and many localities impose sales taxes, meaning I get taxed again when I buy groceries, clothes, household appliances, consumer electronics, and practically anything else. In some places, the combined state and local sales taxes exceed 10%. Louisiana's sales tax alone is 10.11%!
Wanna buy a house with the money you have spent years saving? Congratulations, bucko! Now you're responsible for paying property taxes, which you will be obligated to pay every single year. And if you fail to pay it for long enough, you will eventually lose the property through a tax sale or foreclosure. So much for actually owning something, right?
Wanna buy a vehicle? Depending on your state, you may owe sales tax and annual registration fees. And in some states (my home state of Virginia comes to mind), you are required to pay property taxes on that, too. Then, every time you fill up your tank at the pump, you have to pay gas taxes. The federal government collects $0.18 / gallon, and state and local governments pile their own taxes on top of that.
Now, suppose I decide not to spend or invest any of my remaining money at all. I just keep it in cash. Well, inflation gradually erodes its purchasing power away year after year. It's not an enforced tax, but a hidden one that the federal government has done nothing to stop because we're no longer on the Gold Standard and we run massive deficits each year that is financed by monetary expansion (i.e., âprintingâ) to pay for socialist welfare and wealth transfer programs as well as endless wars in the Middle East.
The bottom line is that I get taxed when I work hard and earn money. I get taxed again on the interest when I save that money. I get taxed a third time on the profits when I invest it. I get taxed when I spend it. I get taxed for âowningâ property. And I get taxed when I drive.
And yes, I'm much aware that we need at least some taxation to pay for things like national defense, public roads, and basic services to have a functioning society. Nobody really disagrees with that. But it does not mean every tax is justified or that the government should have an unlimited claim on the fruits of our labor. And if you look at the state of our roads in many states (Pennsylvania and New York's roads suck ass, Alabama's are nice, however) and public schools, it's abundantly clear that our tax dollars aren't being used wisely.
Our founding fathers waged a revolution against Great Britain over far less atrocities than this.
Replying to @ChrisMartzWX
Seizing the house is simpler to enforce. And good lord, will you people grow up? A healthy society has public goods. That requires taxation, you goddam baby.

Our local bishop is banning the St Michael prayer from the end of Mass.
His article, in the local Catholic paper, explains that in order to celebrate the liturgy âin accordance with the mind of the Churchâ priests need to âcatechize the people of God as we move away from additional prayers recited together immediately before, during, and immediately after Mass.â
