Our government will always stand up for Ontario’s small businesses. By cutting the small business tax by $1.1 billion, we’re delivering up to $5,000 in savings to local businesses that power #AuroraOakRidgesRichmondHill's economy. This week and every week, remember to #ShopLocal!

My thoughts are with everybody who has been affected by the terrible incident that took place at CFB Wainwright in Alberta last night, including members of our armed forces and the heroic first responders on the scene. As Canadians, let’s come together to support our brave men and women in uniform, who put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms and our country. Ontario stands ready to help the recovery efforts however we can.

Every procurement dollar is an opportunity to support Ontario jobs. That’s why we’re protecting Ontario businesses by leveraging our $236 billion infrastructure plan to buy more Ontario-made lumber, steel, vehicles and other products whenever and wherever we can.

We’re not just investing in training. We’re getting people on the job. As part of our government’s $2.5 billion commitment to skills training, we’ve already supported 1,000 projects that will help more than 700,000 workers train for in-demand careers. That’s how we protect workers, strengthen our economy and build a more competitive Ontario.

Ontario has proven time and time again that we are a global energy superpower. Now we’re building what comes next: new nuclear, the largest battery storage fleet in the country, a plan to bring Alberta oil to our refineries in Sarnia and a stronger grid to connect it all.

In the face of President Trump’s economic attacks, Ontario is unlocking the vast economic potential of the Ring of Fire to build the most competitive, resilient and self-reliant economy in the G7. Construction is underway on all roads to the Ring of Fire—five years ahead of schedule—connecting communities, creating economic opportunities and building a future of shared prosperity for generations to come.

Great to join Premier Ford and Minister Trevor Jones earlier today as we toured the OPTC Local 853 Sprinkler Fitters & Fire Protection Training Centre right here in Richmond Hill. Thank you to the entire OPTC Local 853 team for all that you're doing to train the next generation of skilled trade workers. #AuroraOakRidgesRichmondHill

Ontario is building for the future. We’re investing $31 billion in highways, roads and bridges, including the Highway 400 expansion and the Bradford Bypass, to keep divers safe, reduce gridlock and strengthen our economy.

This year, we’re investing more than $101 billion in health care, the most in Ontario’s history. From connecting every person to a family doctor to building new hospitals and medical schools, we’re making sure Ontario families get the care they need, when and where they need it.

Today, we remember all those who were killed in the horrific terrorist attacks by Hamas three years ago. I stand with Ontario’s Jewish community in remembering the victims and their families. Antisemitism and hate of any kind have no place in Ontario.

Today marks three years since the horrific terrorist attack carried out by Hamas against the people of Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed approximately 1,200 people, injured thousands and saw 251 people taken hostage. On this solemn anniversary, we remember the victims and stand with their families and loved ones whose lives were forever changed by the horrific events of October 7. In the years since, Jewish communities across Ontario and around the world have faced a troubling rise in antisemitism. Our government stands firmly with Ontario’s Jewish community and has taken strong action to protect the right of everyone across our province to practise their faith freely and without fear.
