This feels like they're softening the ground for another delay announcement.

OK, this is wild: I’ve confirmed that this video — that used AI to change the race of the creator below then turned it into a Kalshi ad — is real.
A Kalshi rep says the ad is old and that they no longer use AI-generated ads.
Kalshi is also “reviewing our relationship with” with the agency that made it.
Unclear right now what agency was behind this, what methods they used and exactly how many people were AI-manipulated to be another identity so synthetic versions of themselves could become Kalshi promoters without their knowledge and consent, but I’m looking into it.
People slammed me a couple years ago when I complained the RODE video didn’t have 4K capture. And here we are …
You asked for 4K. We heard you. 🎥🔥
RØDECaster Video Firmware 1.4 brings two major upgrades: 4K Capture Mode and expanded RØDECaster Sync.
Capture individual camera feeds in 4K, record 4K ISO files for more flexibility in post, and distribute sources via NDI. Plus, connect any RØDECaster Video with a RØDECaster Pro II or Duo for an integrated audio and video production system.
More resolution. More control. More ways to create.
Firmware 1.4 is available now as a free update. Link in bio.

Your iMovie green screen effect looks unconvincing for one of three reasons — perspective, color, or depth. All three are fixable with tools already built into iMovie. No plugins. I show you how. ▶️ youtu.be/_5_39VChiB4

Starting 8/24, views will count the moment a video begins to play (w/ no minimum watch time) across all formats (VOD, Shorts, & Live). We’re standardizing views to reflect creators’ true exposure across YouTube, making it easier to show their value to brand partners.
This update won't impact creator earnings or YPP eligibility.

Fun fact: An “AI-made” label reduced an artwork’s perceived value by 62%.
In one experiment, simply labelling an image as AI-generated produced:
• A 62% decline in estimated monetary value
• A 77% decline in estimated production time
The pixels didn’t change. The perceived human effort did.

There is a reason why creatives like Neill Blomkamp are choosing AI.
It's because making a movie (or game) with teams is a lot of friction. Hundreds of devs dilute the vision. AI is much closer to author's intent.
Before there was no choice. If you wanted to make a big movie or game, you had to take investors who had a say, and you had to herd cats getting the film crew and actors to not just accept your vision, but understand it and believe in it enough to execute.
One flaw in the chain and the creative vision goes south, the product will either fail or disappoint the creator. And all along the way is FRICTION. Huge inertia in getting ideas to film (or game). Meetings, notes, countless revisions that chafe and wear on the team.
With AI that friction is not just reduced, it's gone.
And that is extremely appealing to the truly creative.
YouTube doesn't care about fair use anymore — for monetization.
The standard has shifted from a copyright framework to an editorial one. They decide what's "appealing and interesting" enough to earn. Not the law.

There's a new tab in YouTube Studio asking you a question most creators aren't ready for.
Do you have a show — or a playlist with a nice thumbnail?
The difference is going to matter a lot more than it used to.

The question isn't whether AI can explain steps. It can.
The question is whether your tutorial channel offers anything beyond the steps — because if not, you're building the exact thing AI replaces first.
