One of my favorite weekends of the year kicks off tonight with the #NFLDraft here is a thread of some of my takes that hopefully won’t age horribly.

Hearing officer James Thrash, jointly appointed by the NFL and the NFLPA, has reduced the discipline of Sam Franklin from a one-game suspension to a fine of $14,926 for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The #Bills recover the onside kick and win it, 33-30. In a results-oriented league, they keep winning. 5-1 into the bye week.

You cannot make up how bad this defense is.

Another big grab from Keon Coleman. #Bills on the cusp of icing this one.

Kubiak probably wishes he had that timeout from that awful challenge earlier right about now....

Jalen Kilgore with a massive pass breakup on third down for the #Bills. Real chance to run this thing out now as the Raiders punt.

Buffalo with a massive response and an easy-looking TD drive capped by James Cook. Ball in the court of the defense to close it.

Raiders are 7-of-11 on third down. The latest is Cousins to Tre Tucker for a touchdown. Tied at 23. The defense offered little resistance there again.

If I were the Raiders, I'd simply throw the ball every play.

Not much for the #Bills offense there. Raiders getting it back with a chance to tie the game.

Big stand for the defense. Credit to IGB on the third-down coverage.

Greg Gaines with a massive run stuff on the goal line. The Raiders running attack has struggled again today against a good #Bills front.

Weird challenge from Kubiak there. Was close, but it was like a 3-yard catch even if reversed.

Injury Update: TE Dalton Kincaid (ribs) is questionable to return.

Third-and-13, so of course LV converts to a wide open Michael Mayer.

Absolute madness from Josh Allen there. A shot put to Keon Coleman for a TD on third down. LOUD MVP chants for Allen here in Vegas after that one.

Dorian Williams jumps in front of a Kirk Cousins pass and comes down with a nice interception. The #Bills defense forces a turnover!
