Two exceptionally handsome urologists completely “on fire” in the OR. Enjoyed my last day. Came around too soon
Yesterday, the man, the myth, the legend @Michael040262 had his last operating list in the NHS. Even taught me how to do an implant and a revision. Congratulations - even though it’s not the end just yet!
Forty years ago I started as a Junior House Officer at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Today my beautiful daughter Catherine Fraser starts her working life as FY1 in Tyneside. How life flies but it’s been a wonderful journey in medicine.

Not like this! I’ve advocated for 3 decades for greater awareness of T deficiency, but the irresponsible overtreatment of men without actual low T is frightening. Worried it will cause backlash, making it harder for suffering men to get treated.

🧵for the new residents and students on the meaning of 'French' and 'Gauge'.
We've covered this on here in the past, but a lot of new people are starting on surgical rotations, so let's look at them again.
As usual, we'll cover their history and what they mean.

A teacher asked the children in her 3rd-year class, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
Little Johnny answered first.
"I want to start out as a S.A.S. officer, go to the Middle East and kill loads of militant Muslims, return as a national hero, then become a billionaire, go to the most expensive clubs, find me the finest nymphomaniac tart, give her a Ferrari, an apartment in Copacabana, a mansion in Paris, a jet to travel throughout Europe, an Infinite Visa Card, loads of cocaine, and all the while banging her like a loose barn door in a hurricane."
The teacher, shocked, and not knowing what to do with this unfortunate response from little Johnny, decided not to acknowledge what he said and simply tried to continue with the lesson.
"And how about you, Sarah?"
"I wanna be Johnny's tart Miss!"

How does a #PenileImplant actually work? Patients often struggle to inflate an deflate the implant initially. We hope this video helps both clinicians and patients #Erectiledysfunction #MensHealth

Now, these two may not look like much but @Allan_Johnston_ and @PeteGrice have been smashing up complex curvature and implant surgery under my volleys of verbal abuse for 3 months. By the summer I’d state my reputation on them being the best two young implanters in the country
Training @PeteGrice and @Allan_Johnston_ that implanting in the face of corporal fibrosis need not be daunting if you make correct decisions and stick to your well practiced techniques
