I held a coordination call on the situation in Ukraine's regions following another wave of Russian attacks. Unfortunately, 28 substations and other critical energy facilities were hit. Restoration work is underway everywhere, and electricity is gradually being restored to people. I am grateful to every repair crew and everyone working for energy companies.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine reported on preparing infrastructure for the heating season. We outlined in detail the key areas requiring attention from government agencies and energy companies, as well as regional and local authorities. Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Presidential Office team have been given urgent tasks regarding contacts with partners who can swiftly strengthen our air defense. There are political agreements that have not been implemented at the working level. There are also delays in certain types of vital supplies at the level of the U.S. Department of War. This evening, we will hold an additional meeting to review the results of all the contacts that must take place throughout the day. I expect concrete results.
Together with the Minister of Defense, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Commander of the Air Force, we set additional production capacity for turrets, which have proven highly effective against “shaheds.” We are increasing orders, and it is important to accelerate every process as much as possible – organizational, financial, and production-related. Instructions have been given to engage with the Baltic states on support for our logistics. I expect a report from Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on this.
There was also a separate report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on information received from units using Starlink/Starshield services. Unfortunately, we have established that the equipment stops functioning at speeds of 130–161 kilometers per hour in various sectors of the front. This is slowing down our frontline logistics and limiting the use of various types of drones, particularly mid-strike drones and interceptors of jet-powered “shaheds.” This must be raised again with our partners at every level today – speed matters when it comes to protecting lives. I just called Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine, who was brutally attacked by violent rioters on Friday.
As President of the State of Israel, I strongly condemn this outrageous and shocking violence, both the terrible attack on Heidi and other grave incidents of violence, such as what took place today in Taybeh.
I expressed my deepest sorrow to Heidi and apologized for what she went through.
The despicable behavior of the perpetrators of this attack does not represent the citizens or the values of the State of Israel.
Israel is a democratic state governed by the rule of law, and it must act with full force against every form of violence. Each incident is being thoroughly investigated, and we await the findings.
All government, security, and law enforcement authorities must use every means at their disposal to investigate thoroughly, apprehend these lawbreakers, and bring them to justice with the fullest extent of the law.
On behalf of the entire nation, I wish Heidi good health and a speedy recovery.

הניסיונות של הממשלה להחליש את מערכת המשפט, את המהלכים נגד היועצת המשפטית לממשלה ואת היחס של נתניהו לנשיא בית המשפט העליון, והחרמתו. אני לא חושב שמערכת המשפט מושלמת, יש מה לתקן, אבל יש הבדל עצום בין תיקון מערכת לניסיון להחליש אותה כל פעם שהיא לא פועלת לפי רצונו של השלטון.
ככה גם בתקשורת: המתקפות על עיתונאים, היחס לתקשורת ביקורתית ואת החקיקה בתחום השידורים, ואני מפחד מהפגיעה בתקשורת החופשית והשתקת ביקורת. אני רוצה תקשורת שמבקרת כל ממשלה, גם ממשלה שאני תומך בה.
ויש עוד נושא שמוציא אותנו מדעתנו: גיוס החרדים. חזרתי להתנדב למילואים ביולי 2023 אחרי כ-20 שנה, ומאז 7 באוקטובר שירתי כ-200 ימים בצו 8. לא מוכן לקבל מצב שנתניהו מעדיף שותפות פוליטית שמאפשרת אי-שוויון בנטל, כשמשפחות נקרעות בשירות ואחרים פטורים.
גם החשדות לבגידה בפרשת קטאר, והשאלות הקשות על יועצי נתניהו.
לכל מי שממהר לקרוא לי "שמאלן": הימין שלי לא תלוי בנתניהו.
סבא שלי, יוסף מזרחי, נולד בחברון ב-1910 ומשפחתו שרדה את פרעות תרפ"ט. משפחת סבתי, לאה לבית כהן מיואנינה שביוון, עלתה ב-1920 בזכות הציונות וכך ניצלה מגורל 90% מיהודי העיר שנרצחו בשואה. גדלתי בבית שורשי של אצ"ל וחרות.
הייתי יו"ר תא הליכוד באוניברסיטת תל אביב, הפגנתי נגד אוסלו מול בית רבין, נאבקתי בהתנתקות והייתי יועץ של נתניהו בין 2004 - 2006 (אגב, בנט פיטר אותי מהלשכה).
נתניהו עצמו הציע לי בעבר 6 תפקידים בכירים (מנכ"ל משרד התקשורת, מזכיר ממשלה, ראש מערך ההסברה, מנכ"ל הליכוד, נציב שירות המדינה ופעמיים מנהל קמפיין 2015).
אז הייתי מספיק ימני וראוי בעיניו ובעיניהם?
אני לא השתניתי: אני מתנגד נחרצות למדינה פלסטינית, מאמין בזכותנו על הארץ, מערת המכפלה בחברון ובהתיישבות ביו"ש.
נתניהו הוא שהשתנה - כשבירך על תוכנית טראמפ שכללה נתיב למדינה פלסטינית.
מאז שהתחלתי לבקר אותו אני סופג אלימות קשה: קראו לי "זקן בטיטולים", שלחו את בתי לתל ברוך, ואיחלו ש"היטלר יגמור את העבודה" (אכזבה: משפחת אבי עלתה ב-1924 בזכות הציונות וניצלה). אנשי ימין רבים אומרים לי בפרטי דברים קשים בהרבה, אך מפחדים ממכונת הרעל.

נתניהו הוא לא הימין, והמדינה מעל כל מפלגה ומנהיג. אנחנו בוחרים בהנהגה ממלכתית, אחראית ומחברת - בנפתלי בנט, או כל בחירה במפלגות גוש התיקון.
ליכודניקים - אני ממליץ לכם, בכדי ליישם את הערכים עליהם גדלנו, הפעם - להצביע לבנט. איש ימין ערכי, דתי, ליברל, שגם ז'בוטינסקי ובגין היו מצביעים לו היום.

Since the American President announced the energy ceasefire a week ago, Russia has deliberately attacked Ukraine’s energy and oil and gas sectors 76 times. Last night alone, there were strikes on substations in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Odesa regions. Tens of thousands of families remain without power. Energy workers and repair crews are working virtually around the clock to restore electricity supply. Overnight, the Russians also struck residential buildings in our regions. As of now, 12 people have been reported injured, including two children. Two people have been killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. This morning, there was a strike on an agricultural enterprise in Volyn. All necessary services are working at the site.
In total, over this past week, the Russians have attacked Ukraine with almost 2,700 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs, and 66 missiles, most of them ballistic. The main targets of these strikes are energy facilities – the Russians are trying to cause a blackout. And America should see that Russia is not taking any reciprocal steps in response to sanctions relief or agreements. On the contrary, they take every signal of an opportunity to make money as proof that their bet on war is paying off and they can keep fighting. It is because of this position of Russia’s that the war continues, not because Ukraine is rightfully defending itself. It is Russia that must face pressure for peace to have a chance.
