Who’s behind Wisconsin’s anti-police ‘autonomous zone’ taking over city streets? @Hudson_Crozier followed the money and received a well-deserved Dao Prize nomination for his investigation into the movement’s funding sources. Congrats, Hudson!
Honored to be named as a Dao finalist for my @dcexaminer investigation into Freedom Inc.!

Good to see noted sports fan Amy Klobuchar help clear up the Hawks vs. Hawkeyes confusion
Replying to @atrupar
holy shit -- turns out Jack Smith went to a Hawkeyes game in Maryland but Schmitt's team is so reckless they concocted a conspiracy theory that Smith was actually in Atlanta seeing a Hawks game and colluding with Fani Willis. Klobuchar points out to Schmitt, "you have your teams wrong."

💰 GOFUNDJIHAD? A woman raised $13K on this GoFundMe page for her husband "stuck" in war-torn Gaza to come to the US. The couple is now charged with visa fraud after the DOJ said he joined the Oct. 7 attacks, was allowed in the country under Biden, and hung out in Louisiana until Israel tipped off US authorities that he is allegedly a terrorist. The FBI warns this is part of a larger problem with fundraising sites. Read at @dcexaminer 👇

Latest from @MiaCathell. How much you wanna bet the media outlets fretting about "Christian nationalism" and "separation of church and state" will be totally crickets about this?

DEEP DIVE: When undisputed killers plead insanity in Fairfax County, doctors for the defense AND prosecution often back their claims, leading judges to approve the pleas. Soros-backed prosecutor Steve Descano’s team says his hands are tied if the government’s own experts corroborate the insanity defense. So who is he picking for those evaluations?

"Like many Americans, I think I wrestle with a lot of the decisions that the country made in response to 9/11, perhaps some good, some bad. But what it has shown me is at least, as a country, we debate and discuss those things and actually wrestle with them. And I hope that will continue to be one of the things that separates Americans from the kinds of people who will settle disputes by flying planes into buildings." @dcexaminer staff put their hearts and souls into these tribute videos. We hope they're meaningful to you. youtu.be/zWLGT1C6dig?is=z06z…

Dr. Amy Acton, the Democratic nominee for Ohio governor, cried at work and was an emotionally volatile leader who struggled to handle the demands of the job, even pre-pandemic, while serving as the top health official in charge of leading Ohio’s COVID-19 response, according to sources who worked with her in the state government. washingtonexaminer.com/news/…

In interviews with @dcexaminer, current and former state government workers, including staffers from the Ohio Health Department, governor’s office, and a career civil servant, described Acton’s conduct in the workplace as erratic and prone to emotional episodes, to the point that she was once allegedly found “curled up” into a ball on the hallway floor before one of the emergency response meetings and had to be coaxed out of a fetal-like position. In another incident, an ex-health department staffer recalled Acton crying in the bathroom and having a full-blown nervous breakdown, allegedly saying she “can’t do this,” before she had to present the agency’s budget proposal in front of the state legislature. washingtonexaminer.com/news/…

A former staffer who worked underneath Acton in the Ohio Health Department said she was a difficult boss to work for, exhibited frequent mood swings, took an abrasive approach that put people on the spot and “humiliated” them, and acted passive-aggressively toward subordinates who said something she disagreed with. “It was a very passive-aggressive punitive place.” The ex-staffer said that a group of former employees who have “PTSD after working with that woman” still get together for drinks years later to rehash those days under Acton. washingtonexaminer.com/news/…

Students should be learning from credible sources—not taking lessons from Osama bin Laden’s manifesto to understand America’s history. @DefendingEd’s @theRhyenStaley points out that students deserve an education grounded in facts—not terrorist propaganda or anti-American narratives.
