As of 11:34 this morning, 38,029 Georgians had cast a ballot today. This puts us on a strong path to break 100k today. It's a beautiful day out. It's a great day to go Early Vote...also has the benefit of stopping calls & texts from the good campaigns, they know not to waste money on you since you already voted.

How many times have we defended instructional practices because adults LIKE teaching that way, despite evidence that kids aren’t learning? Project Follow Through showed us what happens when kids actually master skills. We keep protecting adult preferences while children pay the price. #SoldAStory

"As of this year, NCTQ found that just 13 states have differentiated pay policies for teachers in hard-to-staff schools, down from 28 in 2022. Just three states — Alabama, Hawaii and Texas — offer a state supplement of $5,000 or more annually."

There are two types of politicians:
1. The politician who knows how to campaign
2. The politician who knows how to govern/legislate
Politician 1 is a master of the media and clipped one-liners, often winning over the base with their bold campaign agenda. Their biggest weakness is that once they gain power, they generally struggle to create meaningful change due to their inability to build coalitions and compromise.
Politician 2 is a master of policy, understanding the art of establishing alliances, working within the system, and collaborating to legislate and execute meaningful reform. Their major weakness is that their pragmatic, realist approach often fails to energize an extreme partisan political climate.
In the short term, Politician 1 is viewed as the guy making the biggest impact, but in reality, he’s the just the loudest voice in the room. In the long term, Politician 2 enjoys a legacy of high office approval thanks to his genuine desire to cut through the noise and solve problems, despite not being the flashiest and most vocal on social media.
Brian Kemp, Ron DeSantis, and Spencer Cox are prime examples of Politician 2. I think we can all name a few people that fit the category of Politician 1.

RIP Big Dog. Thank you for making our childhood.

It would be similar to Munich 1938.

Money > fans, tradition, and the good of the game.

Another win for America
It's happening: "KFC replacing Pepsi with Coca-Cola at 3,700 US restaurants after nearly four decades" foxbusiness.com/retail/kfc-r…
Four of my favorites below. Two more that I’ll regularly drop in conversation: “I’m just here so I don’t get fined” and “you play to win the game.”
That’s just directly coaches/athletes. I have a long mental Rolodex from growing up watching the golden age of SportsCenter.

The people celebrating a 24-team playoff are the same people who crack up when Pat McAfee takes off his shirt on Gameday.

I wrote this four years ago and it still applies. The people who run college football conferences don’t get the regular season *is* the sport and rivalries are more important than the tv markets. The playoffs should be additive to that, not replacing that. Sad.

Putin is playing President Trump like never seen before to a U.S. President. It’s embarrassing.

NEW: A half dozen GOP senators — Tillis, Collins, Armstrong, Murkowski, McConnell and Cornyn — sign onto a letter w/ Dems urging Trump to back out of his Russian oil deal.
"This deal is a gift to our adversary and a betrayal of our Allies; it should be rescinded."

The most disappointing part is realizing that so many accounts you thought were russian bots are actually just people being morons all on their own.
The president has been saying for years that Putin wants to make a deal, but I'd love to know what the evidence of that is. He's the aggressor in this war and regularly attacks civilian targets with no military purpose. He is a war criminal.
