Ron Darling’s insights are great. He pointed out that the prior pitch was tight inside, and McLean offered Buxton a “my bad”. Ron said the apology tipped Buxton off that the next pitch wouldn’t be inside - and then he homered on an outside pitch.

This is misrepresenting what he said. Unless there’s another video of him saying the exact same thing to another question, he didn’t mention the fans…

Mets fans;
The players are already expecting to get booed when they return on Tuesday and Lindor himself said it’s going to be “loud.”
Let’s Flip the energy!
Instead of being on the wrong side of loud, let’s make Citi Field roar for the right reasons and cheer this team on.
The boos have been nonstop, yet they haven’t delivered a single win. Maybe it’s karma.
Time to change the energy we’re putting out into the universe and see if we can help right the ship. I’m committing right now. I’ll be at the ballpark on Tuesday.
It’s tough being a Mets fan right now, we all feel it. But this is exactly when we need to come together. 🫶🏽 #LGM

Hey Mets fans, give @chelsea_janes a follow. She’s SNY’s new Insider. She’s a superstar. The Washington Post’s loss is a big gain for SNY and Mets fans alike.

It tells something about a person’s character when he doesn’t run when things are bad. Brandon never ran. All the best in Texas, my friend.

Huge offseason news for the Mets. Do NOT evaluate this deal as just “Semien is a worse hitter than Nimmo”. It wipes multiple years off the books for the Mets, improves their defense (Semien is still an elite defender), and allows them to really improve their OF.

Well said, @MetsFix -- "Carlos Mendoza’s club has turned the past 10 days into a Saw movie of gruesome collapses that feel less like defeats and more like elaborate tests of just how much cruelty and heartbreak this fan base can take."
