"We encourage speaking out and peaceful protests and totally did not blackball the quarterback who spoke out and peacefully protested" *eyes roll so hard they fall out*
We, the NFL, condemn racism and the systematic oppression of Black People. We, the NFL, admit we were wrong for not listening to NFL players earlier and encourage all to speak out and peacefully protest. We, the NFL, believe Black Lives Matter. #InspireChange

The behavior of the police and U.S. government while the world is watching them shows everything we need to know about why these protests are so necessary. I'm halfway across the world and live with people from a dozen countries and this is all anyone is talking about

If the "good cops" don't do enough to stop the bad ones from teargassing people and holding guns in the face of peaceful protestors, then there are no good cops. The world's opinion of the U.S. is way worse than Americans realize. The country needs to wake up

Quarantine Day 4: I'm watching game 7 of the 2005 NBA finals for some reason – at Wellington City, New Zealand
In NZ, we're officially on Day 1 of a month-long quarantine. All non-essential businesses are closed. No outside movement other than for food for a walk for exercise. Police are out questioning people on why they are outside

I'll be spending the month in a small ~25 person hostel with travelers from all over the world who I've got to know pretty well over the last 2 months. Here we go...
NZ Prime Minister Jacinda Arden is about to hold a news conference to address the plan for COVID-19. Right now bars, restaurants and other non-sessential businesses remain open, but they wlll all be forced to close if the country ramps up to the next level.

Effective immediately, NZ is moving to level 3, closing all non-essential businesses. In 48-hours, the country will move to level 4, which is the highest level. NZ currently has 102 cases.
This is not a parody account
Those of us from rural south know how to handle toilet paper shortage. Eat more corn on the cob! The corn isn't important, but the cobs are free and work great! (Just don't flush them!) You're welcome!

What an idiot
Adam Silver says a lost year of work for an NBA player is very different than for rest of us. Average NBA career is about four and a half years. Setting aside fact NBA players earn much more than us, losing one year of an NBA career is like many of us losing a decade of a career.

If this trend keeps up, it seems like soon I might not be able to go home. Not that I ever want to

NBA refs are insanely bad. Embiid got a T for just joking around with Brandon Knight. Thon Maker was smiling and laughing
