8 bajillion years old. No, jk, he’s an adult in his world. I don’t have a canon age. I usually let people envision whatever makes them happy. He left his tribe as a kid and spent a lot of his youth as an acolyte. Khimi is in his 30’s though.

Many a moon ago, my friend and I were going to do a fun set of images. We got distracted and moved on to the next thing, but the idea was: Morning. Noon. Night. A Day in the Life of Khimi and Lumi. 😂

He has to put that energy somewhere 😂

I do think with any form of romance writing, a visual of the characters can be especially helpful. As a writer, you can probably visualize down to the hair on the characters toes, but most people probably can’t even see their faces.

It’s best not to worry about what others want. At the end of the day, writing should be for you unless you’re trying to make money. If someone tells me they don’t like Lumi and Khimi, or they make superfluous comments, I just think. “Clearly this person has no taste.” 😌

Just me being obsessive. I don’t think I’d ever write a book about any other characters. I struggle to feel the same way about other characters. I never have. So, if you’re writing for yourself and your obsession, other people will probably pick up on that.

I’m not someone capable of drawing very well, but my friends really helped come up with the image of Lumi and Khimi versions of games, and doodles. I’d been writing the characters so long, I knew practically everything about them, so what you’re seeing and what people read is

Oooph. This is kind of hard. ‘Cause the truth is, I don’t think I ever would’ve shared the story had it not been for friends who urged me on. My friend, Mai, she had a webcomic, Oasis. I knew a number of people from her server and shared my writing privately.

I feel bad, work has just been too busy to really spend much time on social media, but I’m always thinking of Lumi and Khimi and their story. 😭
