#News - Metatek provides an operational update on its global projects. In Japan, eFTG data acquisition was completed on time and on budget, with the system already mobilized to its next contracted project in the region. In Azerbaijan, dFTG work is progressing across two programmes, including repeat business with the State Energy Company, ahead of an expected move to a nation-state mapping programme in West Africa. Metatek was on the ground in Luanda recently at the Angola Oil & Gas Conference, alongside our local partner, Striped Horse. The event brought together more than 2,500 industry professionals, including the NOC, IOCs, regulators and government officials from across the continent. Over two busy days, our Sales Manager, Christian Richards connected with existing partners, built new relationships and joined discussions around Angola’s latest licensing round and the opportunities emerging across the region. It was also great to see Metatek’s multi-client eFTG data showcased by two of our clients during their own conference presentations a strong demonstration of how the data is being used to support exploration and improve understanding of Angola’s subsurface. Another valuable opportunity to strengthen Metatek’s network and visibility in a key market and great to see our data forming part of the wider industry conversation around Angola’s exploration potential.
