“The Brewers win the pennant! OH MY GOD, the Brewers win the pennant!" A radio call. A captain's belief. A cake sent out of spite. A late-night call to a 92-year-old. And the fans who finally get another World Series. mlb.com/brewers/news/brewers…

A neat moment from today: Miz was asked by @AdamMcCalvy for examples of why Christian Yelich fits the role of captain on the team👇 “It’s easy to call him captain.” -Miz Stay for the end for Yeli’s heartwarming reaction to Miz’s answer. 🎥: @MLB

Aaron Ashby told us yesterday that this team has just a “quiet confidence” about them. This celebration fits that bill.

News: MLB sent a 34-page memo to owners and high-ranking officials across the league detailing what to expect — and how to act — during the lockout. MLB’s official website and club websites will again be scrubbed of player images and videos. And holiday cards? MLB says clubs shouldn't send them to players after Dec. 2. nytimes.com/athletic/7670102…

Really good insight in this piece about Dustin May’s bid to shrug off his second half and start fresh tonight in Game 3. From a teammate who knows the feeling, Kyle Harrison, to one of the coaches trying to guide May along, Jim Henderson. mlb.com/news/dustin-may-on-s…
