"La Macarena, Holy Week, Sevilla, Spain" by Claude Tayag It's hard to single out a favorite! Nowadays I'm drawn to art I emotionally resonate to. This one shows the gathering of a community—in real space!—a mass celebration of something they collectively love, which I miss –Alec

Geek-culture media and artforms often spotlight conflicting forces in intense, heightened conditions. Could the art we engage with reveal anything about how we relate to ourselves and to the world around us? 🤔 Let's explore the idea together! 👉bit.ly/METArtInspires3Premie…

The conversation will bring in our speakers’ backgrounds on art history and theory with Prof. Daki Fernando, as well as comics, geek-culture media, and popular culture with Mr. Carl Javier. How will these inform and expand the way we look at contemporary art?
