Part of Term 1 for the post-grads involves learning how to make highlights edits. Cutting between 2 cameras, adding low angle replays, creating score clock Gfx, match captions, selecting joining points & trying to cut a 60 point thriller down to size… youtu.be/Un1VuQRsaHI?si=h0Kp…

Dedication.

Our live-stream rugby plans fell through this week so the #SportBroadcast crew had to flex & find other fixtures to cover. The low angle & highlights teams were redeployed to the football. Their edits will be dropping on @CMetSportTV 👇🏾⚽️👀 #Adaptability

A reminder to all our Sport Media & Sport Broadcast students - we’ve got a special guest this Monday at midday. Part of Sport Industry Week. Hope you can make it! Students from other courses also welcome.

Things got pretty weird in our newsroom last week...

“To make great sports docs, you need 3 key ingredients, a good story, characters that exist beyond the sports you’re showing, & luck. Focus purely on wins and losses & you’re just making a highlight reel. You need characters that resonate.” boardroom.tv/box-to-box-paul…

Another @BUCSsport Wednesday. Another live-stream for the @CMetSportTV crew. Watch it here: youtube.com/live/Q2EAP5LxNBQ…

Each week, during half-time of our @BUCSsport live-streams, we invite special guests on to discuss new projects. Today, during our football coverage, we did a section on a new women’s rugby documentary, being produced by our students. Coming soon to @CMetSportTV

Love this new pod studio… Might make something similar one day for @CMetSportTV ⬇️👀

We are LIVE with the first of TWO streams today. 🇮🇳 And our new @CMetInt student Srujana Deshmukh from India is presenting her first ever rugby game. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 And she kicks off the show with a big Welsh “Shwmae!” 🎙️ Love it. 📺 Stream details below 👇🏾

Everything coming out of the Oregon socials is hot right now.

Really slick, dynamic pre-season cut from the @Lakers No music…but big on natural sounds. We’ll be showing it to our students when they start cutting montage next month.

Today our lecturer Bethan Wicks led a group of #SportMedia undergrads on a tour across the city & some of our most important sporting venues. Starting at Sophia Gardens, @GlamCricket then @sportwales & @WelshBoxing ending at the Principality Stadium w/ the @WelshRugbyUnion 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Filmed-Edited-Produced by our #SportMedia undergrad Charlie King who is doing magical things with his camera skills this season as the Archers’ videographer.
