Those who have subdued their ego understand that it doesn’t degrade you when others treat you poorly; it degrades them.

Life throws punches at all of us. Difficult circumstances. Pressure. Setbacks. Challenges. Nobody is exempt. Mentally tough people are not the ones who never get hit. They are the ones who refuse to let every punch decide how they feel!

BIBLICAL MASCULINITY: Who You Stand With Matters
The men around you influence the man you become. Biblical masculinity is not lived in isolation. It is strengthened through brotherhood, accountability, loyalty, and standing together in faith. A godly man chooses his company carefully and stands shoulder-to-shoulder with men who will challenge him, encourage him, and point him toward Christ.
Scripture:
"Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love."
- 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
5 Takeaways:
1. Choose your brotherhood
Surround yourself with men who pursue Christ.
2. Stand firm
Hold to biblical truth when pressure comes.
3. Be accountable
Allow godly men to challenge and sharpen you.
4. Stand together
Don't fight the battle of faith alone.
5. Lead with love
Strength is surrendered to Christ and expressed through love.
Bottom line:
Who you stand with matters. Be the man who stands with Christ and helps other men do the same.

Let these truths encourage you today: There is no relationship that God cannot restore. There is no person God cannot save. There is no chaos from which God cannot bring peace. There is no pain that God cannot redeem. There is no sin that God cannot forgive!
How the World Can Shipwreck a Young Christian by J.C. Ryle
I appeal to any old Christian who keeps their eyes open, and knows what is going on in the Churches. I ask them whether it be not true that nothing damages the cause of religion so much as “the world”? It is not open sin, or open unbelief, which robs Christ of His professing servants — so much as . . .
the love of the world,
the fear of the world,
the cares of the world,
the business of the world,
the money of the world,
the pleasures of the world, and
the desire to remain in with the world.
The world is the great rock on which thousands of young people are continually making shipwreck.

There are 3 fights a team has to fight daily:
1. Division from within (chemistry);
2. The competition (opponent);
3. Outside influences.

There is a name in Paul's letters that should scare every comfortable Christian. Demas. He was not an outsider. He stood beside Paul in ministry, named right alongside Luke as a fellow labourer. For years he looked like the real thing. Then Paul, chained in a cold prison near the end of his life, writes one of the saddest lines in the Bible. Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world. That is the whole autopsy. He did not deny the faith in a debate. He did not get argued out of it. He just loved the world more than he loved Christ, and when following cost too much, he walked. Fake faith does not always blow up. Sometimes it just drifts toward comfort until it is gone. Do not love the world. Stay when it costs you.

Finding worth in our works is worthless. They are like filthy rags. We need to find our identity in Jesus Christ. We will never be justified outside of Him, and we can do nothing without Him.
Seek first His kingdom and delight in knowing the King of the Universe.

I wish somebody would’ve taught me this before I started reading my Bible.
If you want to know who Jesus is, read the book of John.
If you want to go deeper into your identity in Christ, read the book of Ephesians.
If you want to learn how to live in holiness in a GODLESS culture… read the book of 1 Corinthians.
If you want to have wisdom for life, read the book of Proverbs.
If you want to know the origin of the universe and everything that exists, and why the world is broken today, read the book of Genesis.
If you want to understand the Gospel and learn what you should believe as a Christian, read the book of Romans.
If you want to understand why life without God has no meaning (even if you achieve success, status, money, and pleasure…) read Ecclesiastes.
If you want to learn how to find joy in the midst of your trial and suffering, read Philippians.
If you want to hear how the church was born and what the first Christians did through the power of the Holy Spirit, read the book of Acts.
If you want to learn how to put your faith into practice, read the book of James.
If you want to learn how to pray with honesty, even in the midst of lament, read the book of Psalms.
If you want to see a preview of what will happen in the future and remind yourself that, in the end, Christ wins every battle, read the book of Revelation.
St Jerome was right when he said: “The Scriptures are shallow enough for a babe to come and drink without fear of drowning…. and deep enough for a theologian to swim in without ever touching the bottom"
You CANNOT read the Bible and not have it change your life.
