A great day at Knowsley Flower Show! Testing reactions and see how quickly they could respond to a hazard. Learning more about tyre safety and why regular checks can make a huge difference. Speaking with our motorcycle team and pick up advice on safer riding. Getting an up-close look at one of our Safer Roads Unit vans, learn how the technology works and how it helps us tackle speeding across Merseyside. We’re back tomorrow if you missed us!!

This week, partners from across Merseyside came together to visit five collision hotspots, combining local knowledge with collision data to better understand the challenges at each location. These visits are an important part of our commitment to preventing people from being killed or seriously injured on our roads. By working together, we can identify opportunities for engineering improvements, targeted enforcement, education and community engagement. Road safety doesn’t end with this weeks visits. If there’s a location in your community that concerns you, please report it through our website Report a Local Traffic Concern. Your local knowledge helps us build a safer road network for everyone. merseysideroadsafety.org/con… Thank you to everyone who supported today’s activity. Together, we’re working towards a future where nobody is killed or seriously injured on Merseyside’s roads. #VisionZero #RoadSafety #MerseysideRoadSafetyPartnership #WorkingTogether

Yesterday’s programme of hotspot visits continued, working together to better understand the factors contributing to collisions at this location. Most collisions are preventable. Taking a little more care with speed, observation and concentration can have a huge impact on keeping people safe. Seen an issue on your local roads? Report it through our Local Traffic Concerns process. Community feedback helps us target the places that matter most. merseysideroadsafety.org/con… #VisionZero #RoadSafety #WorkingTogether

Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. Today’s visits allow partners to understand local issues first-hand, helping shape future engineering, enforcement, education and engagement activity. However you travel, every safe decision helps protect someone else. If you know of a road safety concern where you live or work, please report it through our Local Traffic Concerns process so it can be considered alongside collision data and local intelligence. merseysideroadsafety.org/con… #VisionZero #SharedResponsibility #RoadSafety

Our partnership continues to assess collision locations, looking at what can be done to reduce risk. Small changes in driver behaviour can make a life-changing difference. ✅ Check your speed.
✅ Look twice at junctions.
✅ Leave plenty of space for pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists. If there’s a location in your community that concerns you, report it through our Local Traffic Concerns process. Local knowledge plays an important role in keeping our roads safe. merseysideroadsafety.org/con… #VisionZero #SaferRoads #LocalTrafficConcerns

Our first stop of the day. Partners are reviewing the road environment, traffic movements and local collision history to identify opportunities that could reduce future collisions. Slow down.
Put distractions away. Stay alert to everyone using the road. Have you noticed a road safety issue in your area? Whether it’s speeding, poor visibility or another concern, let us know through our Local Traffic Concerns reporting process. Every report helps build a clearer picture and supports future road safety improvements. merseysideroadsafety.org/con… #VisionZero #RoadSafety #LocalTrafficConcerns

Collision Hotspot Day Today we’re joining colleagues from Merseyside Police, local authority partners and highways teams to visit a number of collision hotspots. By bringing together local knowledge, collision data and on-site observations, we’re identifying opportunities to make our roads safer for everyone. Every serious collision represents a person, a family and a community affected. Working together, we can help prevent the next one. Follow along throughout the day as we visit each location and share some simple road safety advice. #VisionZero #RoadSafety #MerseysideRoadSafetyPartnership

The Isle of Man TT is just around the corner, and thousands of riders will be travelling through Merseyside to catch the ferry. If you’re heading to the Island, ride safe, plan ahead, and look out for each other on the roads. We’ll see increased bike traffic across Liverpool and Merseyside in the coming weeks. So please take extra care, whether you’re on two wheels or four. And remember: keep your bike secure at every stop. More updates to follow as TT season gets underway.
