Year 1 ⭐️ We explored equal groups yesterday by throwing dice and seeing when the groups were equal. 🎲 In English, the children gave Mrs Lomax instructions on how to make a sandwich… which showed just how important clear instructions are! 😂🗒✏️🥪

An exciting day in Year 1! We took our maths learning outside, exploring capacity and volume 💦 Then, to end the day, we were treated to a brilliant magic show from one of our own classmates🎩🪄 A day full of learning, laughter, and a little bit of magic! ⭐️

Today our head boy and head girl attended the ‘United Against Hate’ conference at Parrenthorn High School. It was so inspiring to be in the company of so many young people with the same vision 👌👏

In Year 1 we have been learning about structures. Today we had lots of fun building our own structures using spaghetti and marshmallows! 🗼👏

We are thrilled to have achieved our MHM Bronze accreditation 👏🌟 our ambassadors worked hard to collate all of our school evidence 🙌🏽

Oh no! The Naughty Bus paid a surprise visit to Year 1 this morning… and left quite a mess! 🚌😲

This morning we took some time for ourselves and we practiced our mindfulness in the hub.

Year 1 had the BEST Florence Nightingale experience day! 🩺✨ We dressed up, looked fab, and even had a meet and greet with Florence herself.👏 The children loved asking questions and learning all about her amazing life. What a spectacular day! 📚🙂

Wow we love Nostalgia! The children in Reception were amazed by this record player that they learned about in our UW lesson! 😃

A busy day in Year 1! In maths we explored measurements by putting ourselves in height order📏. In science we investigated plants and planted cress seeds to observe how plants grow over time.🌱👏✨

Early Years have been investigating this morning! There has been a mystery visitor! Who could it be?

Reception have been creating a simple sliding mechanism as part of DT this week. They have made their own pop up Santa Christmas cards.

The elves have been very busy spreading Christmas Joy!

For English in Year 1 we worked in groups to create our own setting descriptions and then acted them out to help with our writing! Amazing teamwork and brilliant vocabulary from everyone! 👏✨
