The Detroit @Tigers used one of its final picks to send a 704 start to the Motor City.
Gaston Christian's Meridian Leffew was selected in the 19th round of the MLB Draft, 579th overall.
Leffew reclassed this year to complete high school one year earlier. He was a second-team all-state pick for HighSchoolOT as a sophomore in 2024 but was listed as a senior in 2025 for @GCS_Baseball1
Leffew is the seventh and final high school selection of the draft from North Carolina.

Week after battling the flu at the Super60, Leffew made his mark at the NC ProCase. Easy rhythm. Whip through the zone. Good feel for driving the baseball to the oppo gap with strength.
