Proof that you can talk about the law without putting the entire room to sleep. The secret? Putting down the dense brief (having a great group of advocates to work with) and just having a conversation. #advocacy
"Collected ourselves & from then on played really well."
While Anaheim held a two-goal lead, the #Oilers scored five goals in the second period to elevate them to a 5-2 victory over the Ducks. Paige recaps the win from Anaheim.

On this National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, we honour the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Let's take a moment to reflect on the past, acknowledge the truth, and work toward reconciliation.
Excellent session today on the updated Supreme and District Courts Criminal Benchbook. An invaluable 'living' resource, and the new navigation and layout improvements make a substantial difference.

Agree 100% Judge, spot on! And it's borderless...
One of the frequent objections to judges using social media is that it demeans the office we hold—regardless of what is being communicated on the platform. I don’t find this objection persuasive, and I think the tone and style of some recent judicial opinions should be of far greater concern to the bench and bar.

I’m voting this as one of the best, feel good videos you’ll see on X today. This fawn is very young. They lose their spots when they are 3 to 4 months old! Curiously adorable ☺️

It’s truly hard to believe that @AppealsCourtGA has now been live-streaming and archiving our oral arguments for over a decade now. The courts belong to the people, and the people should be able to watch their judges in action and determine whether we honor them with our service.
On this day, six years ago, @AppealsCourtGA started live-streaming its oral arguments. This was a pet project of mine from the get-go, and I will always be thankful to my colleagues for strongly supporting it. The courts should be open and accessible to the people we serve.
A great article for lawyers/barristers ... the issues are borderless

There is something about the Great State of Louisiana that keeps bringing me back ... family/friend time and legal networking. #Louisiana #concordiaparish #lakestjohn #lakehouse
Another blast from the Canadian Past...thank you for reminding me of this. A staple in my house growing up ...
For seven seasons and 122 episodes, Canadian children were transported to the world of a department store where amazing things happened.
The show remains a high-water mark of children's entertainment in Canada.

ALT A group photo featuring three individuals and two puppets in a colorful, whimsical setting. The person on the left is a woman with a large afro hairstyle, wearing a pink dress with red trim and a matching belt, smiling warmly. The person in the center is a man with curly hair, wearing a red and white checkered vest and cap, also smiling. The person on the right is a man dressed as a puppet character with a white beard, large nose, and a colorful polka-dot bow tie, holding a puppet with a dog-like face adorned with a pink flower and yellow feathers. In the background, there are green and purple structures with arched windows and a display of various stuffed animal toys hanging on the wall.

Court matters resolved for the week and classes are out for semester break ... why not! On my way ...
After following the media coverage over the past few weeks/months and watching Parliament today, one thing is clear: domestic violence should never be politicised.
So I will ask the question that legal practitioners, law academics, and Members of Parliament (from all parties) should be asking: @AmandaCammMP @DebFrecklington @DanPurdieMP, how can I help?
