Not related to a Q, but I tried MIT's AI MS curriculum & it's awesome! I used AI for Oceans on Code.or for machine learning, The Teachable Machine & Most LIkely Machine. Tied in black history month & how POC have been discriminated against in facial recognition programs. #csk8
Q5 To learn vocabulary I use kahoots/blookets/quizizz as that's low on the bloom level...a little higher up, I show students a piece of code, then ask them to identify concepts and predict what the code will do. I also give bugged projects and have students fix the bug. #csk8
Q3: Honestly, I need more unplugged activities. One that comes to mind is the Conditional card game on code.or#csk8
Q2: When a kid asks for help, I ask, "What needs to happen 1st? 2nd..." What's the end goal? What works? Where does it fail?" If I see the problem I point them in the right direction.."Look at your conditional in this section. Is there anything that could be changed? #csk8

My students are obsessed with the game, Among Us, right now. Anyone have ideas for ways to bring this into a lesson or classroom experience? #GBL #Games4Ed #EdTech #Gamification #EdChat

Excited to be attending #CSTA2020, thanks to the generous support of @facebookedu. Thank you for the opportunity to expand my #CSeducation.
This summer I read Mitch Reznick's, LifeLong Kindergarten. Today I started the Learning Creative Learning Challenge & it was a good reminder that we need students developing divergent thinking skills through projects, passion, peers, and play.@ScratchEdTeam #CreativeComputing
Session: Enhancing Math Through Coding w/ Scratch
Great examples of teaching Algebra (two step equations) and Geometry (Reflections) using Scratch. I can DEFINITELY use this for my advanced class! Super cool. More resources here: mathwithcode.com/
