The men that many people refer to as monsters for simply existing would, by the way, fight tooth and nail for people who need them and who deserve it The simple truth is that there are many, many people who don’t deserve it in this culture, many of those who don’t also think they’re the center of the universe. There are abusers around every corner—people with no appreciation, respect, or even love. Just boundless, endless greed, disdain, and ego. People who effectively look at men as a slave class, worthy of shit on a shoe, who are obligated to give and provide with nothing in return I know so many men who gave, who truly loved, and did everything they could. When they were let down, they tried again and again, thinking they weren’t enough. The reality is that so many men are enough, and they are deep victims of serious and profound, lifelong abuse. The result? They’re abused more for clocking out and losing hope Moments like this remind men, at the very least, that so many of you are so incredible and worth so much. Don’t give up, my brothers.
