One Month Discount on Petrol: From Reactive Policies to Flawed Outcomes! The announcement by the APC led Federal Government offering a 30-day discount on price of petrol to relieve the acute hardship and hunger caused Nigerians by its unplanned removal of subsidy can only be described as another very reactive and confused approach to governance that is now the culture of the Tinubu Government. I had delayed in reacting to the announcement just to give the benefit of doubt and watch the outcome of the policy. Now, having assessed the outcomes, the policy is a substitution of political optics for sound policy. As Nigerians will recall, President Bola Tinubu on May 29, 2023, most carelessly removed fuel subsidy without any consultation or proper assessment of the negative impacts of such policies on our economy particularly on the livelihood of ordinary Nigerians. Moreover, the careless removal of fuel subsidy was followed by other very badly sequenced policies such as the floating of the naira and tax reforms, all implemented in a very disorganized, incompetent and insensitive manner in addition to using three budgets at the same time with the attendant lack of transparency and accountability. Collectively, these policies stoked inflation in all sectors, pushing in most cases unbearable price hikes across board which placed severe shocks and other adverse consequences on Nigerians. Expectedly, the outcomes are what they are- increasing multi-dimensional poverty, skyrocketing costs of goods and services, shrinking opportunities, exit of many businesses, mounting unemployment, disturbing insecurity, widening inequality, forced migration of our youths and general decline in the well-being of Nigerians. Most unfortunately, rather than engage in detailed and published regulatory impact assessment of their reactive policies, the President Bola Tinubu’s led government has again demonstrated their well-known incompetence and insensitivity to governance. With a detailed and published regulatory impact assessment of policies, a competent government would have pursued robust and sincere engagements and consultations with key stakeholders and ordinary Nigerians to recraft and implement inclusive and sustainable socio-economic growth strategies and policies. What really does the President Bola Tinubu led government want to achieve with a one-month discount of less than 5% on fuel cost. Will it reduce poverty, unemployment, insecurity, and inequality? Will it increase productivity and exports? Is it a test to ascertain if subsidy should be restored? Is it another political gambit in the face of threats of electoral loss in the 2027 election? Too many questions, no answer!

A powerful speech: he spoke for the whole of Africa. Well done Ruto 🔥 It is good that the disgraced Tinubu of Nigeria didn’t attend. He would have disgraced Nigeria the more.

48% of result sheets on the IREV portal were uploaded using devices that WEREN’T BVAS machines? 🤯 If we are serious about free, fair, and credible elections in 2027, this massive breach of protocol cannot be swept under the rug. INEC needs to address this trust deficit NOW and lay out a 100% transparent process before the next ballot is cast. How can we trust the outcome when half the uploads bypass the primary security check? 🇳🇬

A man that earned 700,000 Naira in 2019 earned about 23,000 dollars a year A man earning 2m Naira in 2026 earns about $17,021. A year So 700,000 Naira in 2019 was greater than 2million today So when government celebrates over 3 trillion faac disbursement compare with 2019 You will see the value of 2019 faac is greater than 2026

After the late legal luminary, Gani Fawehinmi who pursued the discrepancy regarding Tinubu's certificate up to the Supreme Court where the suit was dismissed based on technicalities rather than on merit, Chief Bode George a bonafide born and bred son of Lagos also had this to say.

I have created a new device that can track anything anywhere in the world… The name of the device is Smart AI Tracking System, it uses GPS, SIM, and AI technology It is placed in children’s bags, cars, or animals so they can be tracked at any time But that is not where its strength lies…. The AI inside it learns the usual routes, observes distance, and detects any unusual changes If a child is kidnapped and taken somewhere unfamiliar… it will activate an alarm send the location instantly and give a warning that a child has been kidnapped The same applies to animals like cows It can detect them in real time if they are stolen or lost Share it so it can reach everywhere in order to have the opportunity to improve it into a smaller size because its size is large due to the many sensors and modules inside it

BELOW IS WHAT AYO FAYOSE HAS TO SAY ON PETER OBI PRESIDENCY; I love Igbos but I have to tell them the truth because I love them. It is now a law to transmit votes electronically, that means rigging of elections has been reduced drastically. Igbos are only tribe that have 99% of voters in the South East and second highest voters in other regions in Nigeria. In the South West, after Yoruba votes, Igbo votes come second. Lagos has the highest number of voters in Nigeria and Igbos are competing with Yorubas in voting power in Lagos. In the South South, we have indigenous Igbos in the South South and all the major cities in the South South are occupied by Igbos. Go to Port Harcourt you will understand what I mean. In the North Central, go to Jos and all the state capital in the North Central, Igbos are the second largest population after the indigenous people. In the North West, go to Kano and Kaduna and you will know that Igbos are the second largest population after indigenous people. In the North East, go to Maidugri and all the state capitals, Igbos are the second largest tribe after the indigenous people. Go to federal capital territory Abuja, Igbos are the largest population in Abuja today. If Igbos truly want to determine who will rule this country today, they will but they only sit back and lament without any action. Peter Obi is the most qualified candidate to rule this country but Igbos are not with their voters card. Go and get your PVC today!!! - Ayodele Fayose

Message from the Military Commander in charge of Tactical Operations in Anambra State on Security under Governor Peter Obi.
Ask Peter Obi today, whether Anambra was secure under his watch, he and his Obidients would attempt a brazen revisionism. But the internet never forgets. And Obiano, Obi’s successor, is still alive.
