Mark Carney has legitimate academic credentials. His Oxford doctorate dates to before DEI made degrees meaningless. He’s unflappable and represents Canada with a gravitas not seen since Harper. He can skate and he can speak without looking like a buffoon, unlike his predecessor. He trooned out his own child at the discredited Tavistock Clinic. Brookfield did all sorts of shady things when he was board chairman, including clear cutting Brazilian rainforest, causing environmental damage in multiple countries, avoidance of Canadian tax, getting loans from China, and the list goes on. He couldn’t even win the Liberal leadership race without cheating, as two brown candidates were thrown out of the contest to make way for his coronation. His proponents point to his tenure as a Central Banker as if that’s a good thing, as if selling Canada’s gold reserves and printing money was a brilliant strategy. Carney was one of Trudeau’s trusted advisors. He and his wife hobnobbed with Ghislaine Maxwell, but of course the media won’t question him about that. In short, his actions fall far short of his lofty words about climate change, about being a good citizen, and even more fundamentally, about the nature of men and women. He thinks being Canadian is defined by a piece of paper and not deep Canadian roots. He ignores over 100 Christian churches torched in Canada. He has stated on multiple occasions that Canadians cannot be trusted with freedom of speech; our words must be policed for Wrongthink and citizens jailed for their words. He’s much more dangerous than Trudeau because he’s credentialed, he’s professional and he’s not a blathering idiot on the world stage. His message to the little people is that we’re going to have to make a lot of sacrifices to save the earth from climate change. Not him though, nor the Laurentian elites who installed him. No, he and his ilk stay insulated from the destructive effects of his policies.
