An elderly woman visited a hospital for her annual check-up. Tests were conducted, including a CT scan and a few others.
According to the hospital, the results showed she had cancer, and it had already spread to her lungs. 🫁
She became extremely emotional and broke down in tears, eventually leaving the hospital in distress.
The next day, the hospital called and insisted she begin chemotherapy immediately.
Though hesitant, she eventually agreed.
However, one of her children wasn’t convinced and urged her to seek a second opinion at another hospital, this time under the care of a respected professor.
She traveled to another state to meet her child and consulted the professor, who referred her to a reputable diagnostic center for a fresh round of tests.
She took the tests again and this time, the results came back NEGATIVE!
To be sure, she repeated the tests again a month later at a different diagnostic center again, the results were NEGATIVE.
Dear family, something deeply concerning is happening in parts of our medical system. It’s heartbreaking to think that in some places, money is prioritized over human life.
Please, always seek a second or even third opinion before accepting a life-altering diagnosis or starting aggressive treatments especially when there are doubts.
Our parents and elders need to hear this.
Be guided. Stay informed. And always question when in doubt.

When I saw this post, it didn’t make me angry, I just felt pity for this person.
Every one of our great African leaders believed in the importance of African unity because they had faith in the potential of our people to rise intellectually above the structures and limits set by colonial regimes and miseducation. They hoped that we would preserve our culture and traditions and treat each other with love and respect, creating a continent that would support our children with love and joy. This way, they would grow up in a unified continent with collective management of resources, free travel without visa restrictions, shared culture, shared knowledge, and collective growth.
Running backwards and believing ethnic superiority/inferiority is justifiable is slave mentality. It means you haven’t fully freed yourself from you nearly 500 years old chains. It means you’re still a victim.
The healthiest way to free your mind is to read. Enlighten yourself with history and knowledge left by leaders like Nkrumah, Lumumba, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, Fela Kuti and Sankara.
Free Your Mind ❤️
I thought to leave this here for posterity because I’ve been seeing posts like this (from both sides) for some time now.
This is the comment I was looking for 🙂

90% (possibly 99%) of Nigerians don't switch off their phones on a local flight when told to do so.
Most (I hope) put the phone on silent or airplane mode and put the device away.
No cabin crew has ever asked people to "bring out your phone and show me it is off".

You actually nailed it on the head. I’ve joined HC alot and hv been blessedbut my wife doesn’t. I don’t see her any less. Christianity is our devotion to God with the intentionality of our heart to serve him because he is God. You can join HC and be a horrible Christian. Changee!
