Reason #735 why being a girl is harder than being a boy: Being kidnapped with diarrhea sucks. Being kidnapped with diarrhea and then getting your period? At that point, even the kidnappers are like, “Damn…that’s rough.” Link To Full Story on Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/2GY…

Not everyday that your film (Jihad Rehab/The UnRedacted) gets a random shout out from one of your favorite authors. Also, he makes a good point. Thanks @sebastianjunger & @NancyRomm for the shout out. We should do a screening in NYC together! #JihadRehab @sundancefest

A clip from my conversation with @sebastianjunger, about the gross injustice of several female filmmakers at Sundance attacking "The UnRedacted" filmmaker @Meighon because she was the wrong color to make the film, "which is of course preposterous." Full epi up soon on Smoke 'Em podcast

Front page of The Ankler this week. Had a screening at USC last week—day of the screening USC got a letter from Abigail Disney’s company demanding they cancel the event. The irony of Disney cancelling Kimmel the same week a Disney heiress tries to cancel my film is not lost on me

After Sundance canceled her doc Jihad Rehab, @Meighon renamed it The UnRedacted, crowdfunded screenings, and found allies from Alex Gibney to Kara Swisher. @NicoleLaPorte1 reports on Megan Smaker's fight to keep The UnRedacted alive: theankler.com/p/sundance-can…

A few months ago, I got to hang out with world-renowned philosophers Peter Singer & Kasia Radek—two of the kindest, most thoughtful humans I’ve met. So I was floored when they invited me—a nobody—on their podcast Lives Well Lived. Check it out: open.spotify.com/episode/3hI…

The feeling is mutual @StrangelEdweird - meeting you was one of the few perks of getting cancelled. Besides, who doesn’t love a fat superhero?!?! It don’t get more American than than 😉

One of the many perks of my job is the weird and wonderful people I get to meet and, if I’m lucky, befriend. @Meighon is one of my favorite humans. And with these hand-painted #Superman and #WonderWoman plates, she’s really outdone herself. What a beautiful gesture, and person.
