Now feels like the right time to reintroduce myself.
I’m Mehak Semy, and I’ll be applying this ERAS 2026 season.
Good luck to everyone going through this too! I know how much this means to all of us. Here’s hoping this year is our year.

One of the hospital security guards is a new dad.
Walking by him today I asked how his little one is doing, and he mentioned how he was up all night with a fever 😔
Well, from one dad to another: got him a coffee and mentioned these days get better 😊
Invest in people.

In med school, I learned that Huntington's disease was one of the most devastating inherited conditions. It caused progressive neurological decline, starting around age 30. There was no treatment. Now, Huntington's has been treated for first time.
This is why we fund science.

Am I running behind or is everybody still in the process of writing their ERAS CV and personal statement?

Just purchased the new ERAS token! It's that time of the year again.

One thing I love about #MedTwitter is how people genuinely help each other without expecting anything in return. It’s rare. It’s powerful. It’s what makes this community supportive.

On behalf of Dr. Chitnis, I’m happy to share this recording of a practical and honest discussion of Neurology PDs on how to match + how to bounce back after not matching. Real advice, real encouragement!

I am grateful for everything I have learned at Buffalo Neuroimaging Analysis Center.
As this chapter closes, I’m seeking research opportunities that sponsor J-1 visas. Any leads or advice would mean the world! Thank you.
I gave myself time to feel everything, the sadness, the disappointment, all of it.
Now I’m ready to try again. If you have any advice for preparing for the next Match cycle, I’d be really grateful. I am just trying to figure it out, one step at a time. Thank you!

My Patient’s rare disease treatment was approved after 3-months of going back and forth with insurance, peer to peer, and writing supporting letters.
Celebrate these wins that help some of our more vulnerable individuals 😊
Awesome webinar by @ShilpaChitnis2
