I don’t believe in publicly judged auditions. Auditions should be between the actor, casting director, and the studio, not thrown online for random people to decide whether someone deserves a role.
There’s nothing wrong with an open casting call where anyone can submit. The problem starts when those auditions are made public and fans are encouraged to judge or vote on them. At that point, casting risks becoming a popularity contest instead of a professional evaluation of performance, direction, consistency, and suitability for the character.
If a studio claims to take casting seriously, then the people hired to make those decisions should actually make them. Actors shouldn’t have unfinished audition reads publicly dissected by strangers who have no involvement in the production.
Audience feedback can be useful for marketing, but casting decisions should remain with the casting director and studio. Otherwise, what exactly is the casting team there for?
I recently got told that a video game was approached by 'Casting Directors' saying they could knock out 1-20 voices themselves and use 'Ai'
You are not a casting director, you are a parasite trying to steal a title you never earned. Bugger off.
Voice acting and acting are art forms. They are not toys for any content creator to pick up, use for publicity, and suddenly claim professional status. Respect the craft, respect the training, and respect the people who have dedicated years to it. Don’t cheapen the art for attention.
If I reopened my Voice Acting for Video Games workshops, would anyone be interested in attending?
I'd love to gauge interest from both working actors and those looking to break into the industry. The workshops would focus on game performance, recording techniques, auditioning, and what developers actually look for.
Let me know in the comments if you'd be interested; or if there's a specific topic you'd want covered.

Maintaining boundaries in professional communication is crucial. Recently, I received a call from family informing me that someone had called looking for me regarding an artist job for a video game. That’s not okay.
I encourage everyone to respect personal boundaries and utilize the standard channels of communication. If you have questions or need information, please use the same methods as everyone else. I appreciate your understanding. Please do not reach out and call my family trying to reach me.

I got offline from twitter for not even a week and a new war is waging with Ai…. Let me settle it here; Ai art/Ai acting is theft of existing artists. You can sugarcoat it whatever way you want, it’s stealing existing work and mashing it together to make… something. It’s not creative it’s not ingenious, it’s theft.
Some Ai is great, but when you lack barriers and rules then you create a Wild West world for anyone to do anything with Ai.

Don't ever feel ashamed about asking for mental help, it doesn't matter if you are in law enforcement, military or an actor. We are all human, we all need help at some point.
CCC (Casting Call Club) asking “I moved on to P2P” when canceling a paid subscription is ironic, because that is exactly what CCC has become.
It used to be a free creative space for actors to audition, experiment, and connect. Now it feels like another platform charging hopeful, often inexperienced actors for the chance to be seen.
That is not opportunity. That is monetizing ambition.
When a company profits from actors who are desperate to break in, while offering little meaningful vetting or industry-level protection, it becomes part of the same predatory pay-to-play ecosystem actors have been warning each other about for years.
CCC was once a community. Now it feels like a business model built on hope.
I keep seeing people say they “support remote talent,” but the industry still often defaults to hub-based actors, local studios, or agency rosters when it matters most.
Remote VO worked during COVID because it had to, and many actors proved they could deliver broadcast-quality audio, fast turnaround, live direction, clean sessions, and professional communication from home.
So, the question is not whether remote talent can work. It already did.
The real question is whether studios are willing to keep expanding access, or whether “supporting remote talent” only applies when it is convenient.
There are incredibly capable actors outside LA, NYC, Atlanta, London, and other major hubs. Many have professional booths, Source-Connect, quality mics, fast availability, and real credits.
If the barrier is quality control, set clear technical standards.
If the barrier is turnaround, communicate expectations.
If the barrier is trust, build better remote vetting systems.
But please stop saying remote talent is fully supported while continuing to choose only the same local or agency-accessible circles.
Remote work opened doors. It should not quietly become a temporary exception that disappears now that the industry has decided convenience matters more than access.
Brian dedicated his heart and soul into this project, it's very sad because I loved working on Paranormal Activity and so did the rest of the cast. Sometimes the industry can be unforgiving, but I truly believe that when one door shuts, another door opens.
My role was a really important one and I am honored to have been apart of such an amazing project and work with such amazing people.
