Less competition for resources means lower COL. More wealth. It means more $ available to invest in things that actually benefit people like education, healthcare & infrastructure. You are asking for the opposite of that. You want to make the US a 3rd world country. The US is not going to stop immigration either b/c they want to ensure the existence of cheap labor, whether it's the ag jobs that Americans won't work anyways or the better paid jobs they do want & already are having trouble getting hired for thanks to cheap H1Bs. Boudoir photographers- are these good photos? 1. Out of the 37 I was sent, a full HALF were ass shots w/ zero of my face showing. Only 5 were good enough to use. The rest were oddly cropped pics of my body parts, oddly angled, or oddly posed (I'm not a model but I expect boudoir photogs to know how to coach how to pose, including moving one's parts of their body and face if necessary to get a good shot- I'm pretty sure almost all boudoir customers would be not just fine w/ this but expect it). These aren't exactly shoots that cost a couple hundred dollars, they cost thousands, and then you have the months you may spend training to make your body look as good as possible plus spend thousands on lingerie. 2. I booked in the summer, and as you know, these shoots are often booked weeks-months in advance...you literally have no idea what the weather will be like that particular day. OR far more importantly, that your photographer will decide for whatever reason THAT THEY NEED ZERO AC - on one of the hottest days that happened to be 90+ degrees. I was sweating through my hair the entire time, which ruined and flattened it, further diminishing the quality of the images. My makeup may have been messed up by this as well - I was trying to be as cooperative and quick as possible - the environment wasn't exactly comfortable to dawdle in & check/adjust myself in the first place, not just because of the sweltering humidity but bc of the photographer's demeanor herself. 4. She was often terrible at responding to emails/ left long lapses in communication. I initially chalked it up to life issues. At one point after 3 unanswered emails in a row, I had to send her an email telling her I would have to lamentably initiate a chargeback if she didn't respond. Suddenly she responded in 24 hours. 5. When she finally delivered the photos after 4+ weeks and I saw how disappointing in quality/choice most of them were, I sent her two emails asking for the easiest fix with the least amount of effort on her end: Could she send just TWO more pictures of my face? Both emails were ignored, forcing me to send a follow-up: if we could not resolve the low quality of the selection of photos she sent me by taking a few more pics, I would be forced to write her an honest, thorough, critical review. After the aforementioned two emails went ignored when I requested the easiest possible fix, she responded within 24 hours - defiantly and scathingly in contrast to the tone of my email which literally apologized for having to send it to her at all, especially when I'd mentioned several times before delivery of the photos that I'd book her again in a few months- threatening to sue me multiple times for "blackmail." #boudoir #boudoirphotography #boudoirphotographers #photographers #photography #photographer
