In Flanders fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Not wrong. Fans won’t take the time to understand the argument. The main take aways are; yes of course it’s entertaining to watch, the three peat isn’t that amazing… with a roster like that the Chiefs are expected to win, lastly it does nothing for the “greater good”. On that last point, box lacrosse as a whole is in a “perpetual state of stagnation”. Which means a continuous lack of change, growth, or development, staying the same for an extended period–in this case economically and almost a century. Lacrosse in Canada has the same problems as it did in the 1930s. Pro vs Am, paid vs, unpaid, sanctioned vs unsanctioned. Bureaucrat gatekeepers are culpable, hiding behind policy, in an effort to protect their “legacy”. Because they feel if things change or something new comes along it will diminish their accomplishments in the old system. They use to fight the NLL in this way. Meanwhile, they do not have the skills necessary to promote the history and their “legacy”. Ultimately, if things stay the same their system and “legacy” will fade away into irrelevance and ultimately destroy the system as a whole because it is so intertwined and incestuous.
