Congratulations Thomas!!! Two homegrown MLB players from the class of 2022. Pretty special for you and Jack to show aspiring local youth players it’s possible to accomplish your dreams and play at a public school with your childhood friends. Well deserved!! @MedfieldAD

The Angels have signed Penn righty Thomas Shurtleff. Pitched to a 2.95 ERA with 52 Ks to 15 BB over 61 IP in 2026. Heavy low-90s sinker up to 93 with good extension. High-70s to low-80s sweeper with big break that missed a lot of bats. Also has a cutter.
