EQIP is administered by the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) and @CRISPhealth, with support from MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society. MedChi continues to support EQIP through practitioner recruitment, education, technical assistance, and program advocacy. Health Policy Collective, a @JohnsHopkins group, held an Introduction to Health Policy and Advocacy meeting which outlined how health policy is shaped and ways that medical students can become involved. From learning how health policy is shaped to exploring opportunities through the @AmerMedicalAssn, MedChi, op-ed writing, advocacy days, and resolution writing, medical students are building the knowledge and skills to become tomorrow’s physician advocates. We’re excited to see the next generation of physicians getting involved, finding their voices, and helping shape the future of health care in Maryland and beyond!
