Did y'all remember axing's interview for D4 booklet? When asked what gives him the greatest sense of achievement, he proudly answered "Becoming Huangxing" I love his answer bcs he doesnt define achievement through numbers, popularity, awards or status. He defines it through something much more meaningful: becoming himself. And now, looking at his concert title MINE and poster's concept, i cant help but see how beautifully these two ideas connect. Becoming Huangxing means becoming himself. And MINE feels like an extension of that idea, not just discovering who he is, but claiming the freedom to decide who he wants to be. Look at the poster's concept, embracing both angelic softness and devilish sharpness. Its not even devil vs angel, but angel AND devil. Two seemingly contrasting sides that dont have to cancel each other out just to be valid. Why must gentleness always look harmless or strength always appear intimidating? Maybe becoming himself means no longer feeling the need to choose just one side to make himself easier for others to understand. Like, all human are complicated creature. He can be gentle without always being agreeable, romantic yet untamed. It doesnt has to fit into one version of himself to be authentic. And thats what makes MINE feel more meaningful. Its not simply abt showing different sides of him. Its abt refusing to let others decide which sides of him deserve to exist. He's still growing, exploring, discovering who he can become and that journey belongs to him, himself. In an industry where artists are constantly observed, interpreted and placed into boxes, choosing to belong to yourself is an act of self-sovereignty. He doesnt has to be perfect. He just needs to be true to himself. Others can have their interpretations, but they dont get the final say over him. "Becoming Huangxing" next to "MINE". Two parts with the same statement. One is abt becoming himself, the other is abt owning that journey. "This is who im becoming and i get to decide what that means" MINE isnt abt proving which side of huangxing is the real one. Its abt making room for every part of him. His greatest achievement isnt becoming the version of huangxing everyone wants him to be. Its having the freedom to become huangxing on his own terms.
