Blood test 2025. I got my personal high for LDL-c, but I assume it's just due to a longer fast before my blood test. Though I'd test before Thanksgiving. The last two months I've stayed on diet and have done 44 hr weekly fasts. Earlier in 2025 I started snacking too much and gained some weight. The last many months I got a bit tired of beef and have added pork, ham, bacon, fish and oysters to my regular low carb meals. And sometimes I eat some potato on Sunday cooked in tallow. I keep seed oils and LA low. Not sure what's wrong with me, but I'll work to lower blood sugar. It was odd since this test I took blood sugar before and after Labcorp, it was 82 and 83. But Labcorp reported 98 mg/dL. I've double checked my meter with another meter. This is also after a 44 hour fast. My A1c has trended high but I assume that may be an A1c issue rather than my blood sugar, but not fully sure.

Went to Europe for 2 weeks. Ate bread, cakes and small glasses of alcohol daily. Meat and eggs as I could, though the steaks I had where too hard to chew. Walked a lot. Two meals a day. Lost a bit of weight. After a two day fast back to my mild keto diet. Icecream was bad in France where I got it, bread was good. Icecream was better in Belgium. French Fries were better in the Netherlands.

Arrived in France and ordered a ribeye steak. It was very hard to chew! One of the hardest steaks to eat ever. In the USA the cheaper steaks I buy are eatable. Tried another steak two days later and it was very tough but at least I could chew it. Since then been eating pork and water animals.

The red fox didn't care about the processed Salisbury steak, though it loved the Swedish meatballs. Also I had part of a baguette from Perenn in Franklin the fox didn't care about. I thew away the steak and have put out a processed prok and we'll see if the fox likes it. An older relative gave us this processed packed food and to be kind we didn't want to say no. It’s not something we’d eat unless we were literally starving, not metaphorically starving. If the fox likes it then that'll be good.

I left out a special meal for the fox last night, some pizza and a little steak. But an opossum came by early and ate it all!

Red fox got some bagels this morning.

My daughter's breakfast this morning. Lower carb than mine, so far I've eaten 0.75 oz of chocolate and some crumbs. My daughter has had carb sensitivity lately and has cut out sweet drinks and is careful about her foods lately though she still eats rice and bread.

Wife bought some tallow chips from Costco. Too bad I've been cutting back on them. I'll try some later.

Review: These chips taste fine, and very tallow. They are a bit too tallowy for wife. I've been weaning myself off potato chips so I've only eaten a few. Personally I prefer using my potato budget for potato chunks grilled in tallow and random animal fat.

Food test #2 to see if bread will get eaten. I set up some food farther back in our yard. During Test #1 the bread was not eaten. Old homemade bread organic flour Cracker Barrel biscuit and corn bread Outback Steakhouse bread A dinner in a tray called Swedish Meatballs Yard has rabbits and birds and chipmunks and some more. We had a thunderstorm then it appears that red fox came over late at night. It ate the Swedish meatballs and the Outback bread. Possibly ate the CB cornbread.

July 26: I left out a Salisbury Steak for our red fox. Well see if it likes it as much as the Swedish meatballs I left last time. Got some storms and now it's wet. We'll see how it goes, got the camera setup.

The red fox came last night but didn't care about the salisbury steak. Also I had part of a baguette from Perenn in Franklin which the red fox did not care about. I didn't care about the baguette either, though birds at Perenn loved it, but my birds don't.

I got blocked in a discussion where I said Lp(a) can change and that mine went down by 50%. He promoted the belief that it doesn't change and blocked me. xitter.cf/TomasBr43751366/status…

The magic ended pretty quickly on sardines. But my mood is a bit better though my life feels more dreamy lately, not sure if it is the sardines or high fat intake with my renewed keto. Switching some sardine eating back to beef.

I've been trying sardines and then holding off. Lately they appear to make my eyes feel funny, but when stopping sardines and eating beef eyes are getting back to normal. Not sure what's going. I'll try sardines again in a few weeks. I bought a bunch and filled up a cabinet.

Cary Kelly @CaryKelly11 left a piece of store bread out and no animal touched it for 5 days. I decided to do the same. Starting June 12, 2026. Alfaro's Artesano Golden Wheat Bakery Bread With a Touch of Honey, Olive Oil & Sea Salt ENRICHED WHEAT FLOUR [FLOUR, MALTED BARLEY FLOUR, REDUCED IRON, NIACIN, THIAMIN MONONITRATE (VITAMIN B1), RIBOFLAVIN (VITAMIN B2), FOLIC ACID], WATER, WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR, SUGAR, WHEAT GLUTEN, YEAST, VEGETABLE OIL (SOYBEAN), SEA SALT, HONEY, WHEAT BRAN, CONTAINS 0.5% OR LESS OF EACH OF THE FOLLOWING: CULTURED WHEAT FLOUR, SOY LECITHIN, NATURAL FLAVORS, CITRIC ACID, GRAIN VINEGAR. xitter.cf/CaryKelly11/status/206… After 5 hours I see two flies on it.
You’re looking at a piece of bread I dropped 5 days ago. No animal or bug has touched it. Maybe critters are smarter than humans?

Day 4 update: The bread appears uneaten. There are ants under it though. We have a birds, rabbits and a chipmunk but they have not visited the bread. I put a camera on it in case an animal comes by. There's been some rain storms so it's falling apart. Added a brownie cupcake made with organic flour and no animals checked it out. I like making cupcakes but I don't eat much and just throw away the rest. I want to add a control group next time, perhaps bird seed.

I think it's hard for most of us to get accurate numbers for launch, manufacturing and revenue etc ourselves.

I declare my tribe! The keto tribe! This is after I read a post about diet tribes: xitter.cf/ScottAppliedSci/status…
It’s so easy to brainwash yourself by accident of social media feed into extreme diets. Keto, “carnivore”, raw vegan, sugar diet, and on and on. They’re all the same tribal urge in different forms.
