I was a teacher before law school. I couldn’t convince teenagers to wear deodorant. The idea that teachers are convincing kids that they should get sex changes is utterly ludicrous.

As Premier, you had the opportunity to replace FPTP with a Proportional Representation system, which would help address the very issue of vote-splitting you’re highlighting here. You also could have chosen to accept and implement the recommendations of the all-party committee on electoral reform.
Instead, you’ve chosen to call an unnecessary, opportunistic snap election under the very FPTP system that contributes to the problem you’re now pointing out.

The wars being fought today are nothing compared to what’s coming.
When billions of people can no longer access food or water, the fight for survival will trigger conflicts on a scale we’ve never seen.
Crop failures, droughts and mass displacement will push countries to breaking point as climate change accelerates.
We are sleepwalking into a crisis we are nowhere near prepared for.

For those who are wondering about how precise Aranet4 is on a plane:
The Aranet4 uses its built-in barometer to compensate for pressure changes, and it handles normal everyday variation well, but, of course, a plane cabin is a large jump.
Cabin pressure on a flight is roughly equivalent to being at about 2,000 m altitude. At that pressure the sensor’s accuracy drops by about 6%. For fully precise readings you’d ideally have to recalibrate at that pressure, but that isn’t possible on a plane, as cabins are usually full of people and CO₂ levels are high because of that, so there’s no clean fresh-air baseline to calibrate against.
In practice, you can expect in-flight readings to be accurate to roughly ±30 ppm ±~10% of the reading. That’s more than accurate enough to see the CO₂ situation during the flight and make informed decisions.

The updated Flu vaccine was available in the U.S. on July 30th this year
Just in time for Back-to-School
It's time we learned to get vaccinated BEFORE Flu season starts
And, if we're really being proactive, a 2nd shot before 2nd semester starts

For those at the back who weren't paying attention:
It's not just about the first couple of weeks of an infection
It's about the problems it causes that you don't even see until three or six or twelve or sixty months or two hundred months after the infection.

Delaying vaccination when flu season and COVID infections are already spreading is akin to watching the forest fire grow bigger and bigger before deploying firefighters.

Covid & Flu are already rampant in New Brunswick schools yet still no Covid vaccine availability, and access to Nuvaxovid (Novavax) extremely restricted. We need vaccine access in August BEFORE school starts, and clean indoor air to help prevent spread of these Airborne viruses.

In one study, most chickadees without a bird feeder present didn’t make it to spring. Most with one did.
A Wisconsin study followed hundreds of marked chickadees over three winters. 69% of the birds with feeders readily available survived. Only 37% survived without.
A chickadee lives on the edge in winter. Every day, it eats about 10% of its body weight, then burns all of it shivering through the night. Every morning, it starts near empty.
About half of what it eats in winter is insects: eggs and pupae tucked into bark and twigs, waiting out the cold.
Those insects come from native trees. An oak feeds hundreds of kinds of caterpillars. A Bradford pear or a crape myrtle feeds almost none.
Now picture the average subdivision. Lawn, a Bradford pear out front, a row of boxwoods. A chickadee working that yard in January is picking through a nearly empty pantry.
Don't beat yourself up. Most of us didn’t choose those plants. The builder did. Here's what you can do:
Stock a feeder with black oil sunflower or put up a plain suet feeder.
Plant one native tree. Fall is the best time to do it. Oaks are the gold standard, with native cherries and willows close behind. The National Wildlife Federation’s Native Plant Finder shows which plants feed the most caterpillars where you live.
And leave the leaves under it. A lot of moths spend the winter as pupae in leaf litter, and those make next spring’s caterpillars.
You don’t need a perfect yard. Researchers point out that a neighborhood where lots of people plant some natives does more than one person going all-native.
Just do what you can, the chickadees will appreciate it.
