No thanks. You failed miserably with the little power given to you in Calgary. You are not meant to run anything.
Thank you! We saved Canada. Now, we save Alberta.

Alberta 👏 does 👏 not 👏 make 👏 equalization 👏 payments. Albertans pay the same federal tax rate as every other Canadian. Earn more, pay more. I'm so tired of the manufactured outrage. So tired. #ABPoli #CdnPoli

Are you kidding me! Nenshi is a terrible leader. Look at his track record from being mayor of Calgary, my family is facing a 75% increase in our water bill because of his incompetence in not maintaining our critical water infrastructure. And you want to let him run the province - hahaha 😂

Nenshi only ever proved he was incompetent, his time as mayor of Calgary was nothing short of a disaster. Don’t be fooled by the “polls” he will never be premier. It will be another UCP majority next year.

So now asking Albertans whether they want to remain in Confederation is a betrayal of Alberta and Canada? Give me a break. The Globe and Mail is entitled to its opinion, but so are Albertans. You don’t have to support separation to understand why the question is being asked. We’ve endured decades of federal interference, broken promises and policies that have worked against Alberta and it didn’t happen overnight. And now we’re supposed to believe Carney’s announcements have somehow fixed all that? I’ll believe it when I see results. I’ve said it before. I’m not necessarily advocating for separation, but I absolutely support Albertans having the right to decide. If the case for remaining in Canada is so strong, then make it. Explain the benefits, address the grievances and let the people decide. Calling the question itself a betrayal isn’t much of an argument at all. That’s democracy. You don’t have to like the question to respect the right to ask it.

These men didn’t just kill these sweet grandparents. Just killing them would have been a mercy. They targeted them, terrorized them, and bludgeoned them to death in such a manner to suggest they revelled in it. Arnold De Jong was found dead in his bed with duct tape violently wrapped around his entire head and face, smothered to death. Joanne De Jong, was found in another bedroom and died of sharp and blunt force trauma to her head and neck. Both had their hands and feet bound with rope. The De Jong’s last minutes on this earth were brutal, horrifying and they suffered more than any human being ever should. What about their “constitutional rights?” @BarthelRog56151

Wow, the NDP in BC are as daft as the Liberals. First they blame Trump and now they're claiming the Conservatives fucked up health care and forestry issues that were imposed 10 years ago! SURPRISE SUPRISE SURPRISE, the Conservatives have NEVER been a Majority in BC! 🤣🤣🤣

Tomorrow, Albertans will go to the polls to vote in a province wide referendum on a number of items, including questions on immigration and social services, constitutional relations and laws, and, Alberta’s future in Canada. I am a Canadian. I love my country. I love everything Canada was and everything Canada used to stand for. I am disappointed and dismayed by what Canada has become, by the decisions - and non-decisions - made by our governments, at all levels. I am concerned for the future of this once great nation, based on what I’m seeing happening on the streets across the country. But I still love Canada. And I still have hope for a future for this country. And it’s for that reason, I hope the vote for Alberta to separate, is successful. I don’t want to see Canada splintered. I don’t want to see Alberta as its own nation or part of another country. But this vote failing won’t help Canada. And I’m hopeful that a successful one will, although sceptical that it will happen. We shouldn’t be here. Albertans should never have gotten to the point where they felt the best hope for their future and the future of their children was to separate. But time after time, the Canadian government has done nothing to prevent this. The government has had ample opportunity to talk with the people of Alberta, to understand their concerns, to work at addressing the concerns of Albertans- and all other Canadians. They have not. Alberta more than easily collected the number of signatures required to hold this referendum, a signal to Canada about how serious they were. And still, the government did nothing. So, I’m hoping the vote tomorrow is in favour of Alberta separating. And I hope the Canadian government uses that as a wake up call, and starts focussing on making things better for Canadians, at addressing our issues and concerns. And if, once again, the government chooses everybody other than Canadians? Well that’s another reason I hope the vote is successful. Because our friends in Alberta deserve an escape plan. We all do.

It was a petition signed by enough ALBERTANS to qualify for a referendum. The premier forced nothing on anyone. Its called democracy.
For those Canadians outside AB, we need your support, not your criticism. The majority of Albertans want to remain in 🇨🇦. Singling out an entire province because of a small % of idiots is petty as fuck. We didn't ask for a referendum. It was forced on us by a shit Premier.
5
And the other choices were? With having to choose between bad, worse than bad and absolutely awful, you are left with no real choice at all. All brought up in the solutions put forward by the sovereignty movement. Vote option 2 to at least start fixing the province itself.
They voted for Smith. Before that, they voted for Kenney. Before that, they voted for Redford, Stelmach & Klein. They've been running this place for decades, and somehow think Alberta's problems are not related to the people they put inside that building in front of them.
6
Then I guess our actual question to separate should have been on the ballot, which it is not. The sovereignty movement will continue until it is or until canada admits it does not take democracy seriously.
🟥 The main concern with Alberta’s Separatist movement is not that they can possibly succeed. They will never succeed. We know it, and they know it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The insidious nature of their movement is that unless it is stopped dead in its tracks by this referendum vote, it ensures years of DEBATE and uncertainty about Alberta’s future, at a time when Canada needs to be strong and united in pursuing our national aspirations of massive economic growth and secured sovereignty. That uncertainty is the intent and design of those being sponsored to keep our country divided. Albertans of good will must vote in their MASSES. You can’t afford to sit this one out. 👍🏼🍁
7
Hard to follow through when the premier refused to put the actual question from a successful petition on the ballot, all we can do is send a message. When you all decided this would be the final answer and done, we just corrected you. No, its not. Simple as that.

I showed up at the final Forever Canada rally at the Alberta Legislature as one of the only Alberta independence supporters in a crowd of Canadian nationalists. I came to ask questions, challenge ideas, and have conversations. Instead, I was met with hostility, insults, swearing, and people who clearly didn’t want me there. At times, police officers had to stand nearby for my protection. Here’s the irony: These people were rallying to defend Canada, a country that supposedly stands for freedom of expression and democratic debate. Yet some couldn’t tolerate one Albertan peacefully expressing a different political opinion. If Canada is worth defending, shouldn’t freedom of expression be worth defending too? Watch and judge for yourself. youtu.be/_ezf_hnuR0U

The man with three passports, who wants to join the European Union, is in Alberta, trying to convince us that he's just one of us.
Canada is the greatest country on earth. A country where you are free to be who you want to be. To speak your mind. To worship as you choose. To live your life as you wish. That is independence. That is sovereignty.

THIS Is What Gives Me Hope for Canada! At the Alberta Legislature, I spent nearly an hour debating a young Forever Canadian who strongly opposed independence. An older independence supporter eventually joined our conversation, challenging him on Canadian history, constitutional rights and decades of failed attempts at political reform. Neither changed the other's mind. But something remarkable happened afterward. As I was preparing to interview someone else, I noticed the two of them walking away together, STILL talking! Two people with completely different visions for the future, continuing a respectful conversation long after the cameras stopped focusing on them. That's what gives me hope. We don't have to agree about independence to treat each other as neighbors. Full video: youtu.be/2kPgPCIRI_8

Absolutely Max. Freeland's grandpop was a Nazi apologist and propagandist. Nazism is alive and well in Ukraine just as it was in the Second World War when so many Ukrainians joined the SS to kill Jews.
I missed that Chrystia Freeland has gone on from Canada's Deputy PM to serving the govt of Ukraine, the country where her real passion lies Freeland infamously led a standing ovation in parliament for a veteran of the Galicia SS – the same Nazi division her Ukrainian grandfather recruited for
