Our public services are struggling, our unemployment is high, and our country is at risk. Alberta only got here because of one person and one party: Danielle Smith and the UCP. Let’s send them a very strong message at the ballot boxes. 🇨🇦

My Alberta opens its arms to a refugee child from West Africa. It gives him the opportunity to thrive, until he becomes a national and global star. Say NO to the 9 questions.

Excellent article by @karenpalmeryvr comparing the very real differences between Alberta's health care system and systems in the nordic countries. A must read. AB's implementation won't work. Edmonton Journal edmontonjournal.com/opinion/… via @edmontonjournal

Healthcare is a mess in AB right now. And the people in charge aren't doing anything to fix it. In fact, the things they are doing appear designed to make it worse. Why should Albertans suffer so that GoA can sit on a surplus? Open the closed public OR's!
Let's talk about what is actually CURRENTLY happening in AB for surgical care: We are sending kids home with painful broken arms, to await surgery because we no longer have the staff to do it same day! Elderly pts are waiting days in hospital, in pain, with a broken hip. 1/2

#ableg The total cost of Smith’s Separatist referendum is $200 million That SHOULD have paid for: 🏥 20 Urgent Care Clinics 🌀 40 MRI Machine Labs 👩‍⚕️ 500 Family Doctors 🎗️ 8,000 Cancer Treatments 🩺 1,000,000 Mammograms Smith chose her separatist UCP pals over saving lives
The total financial cost of the October 19, 2026, referendum will be between $170 million and $200 million representing a major waste of taxpayers' money. The UCP government has spent $4 million of public funds promoting the referendum. This includes a $300,000 promotional website, a $1.5 million economic analysis on secession, and over $365,000 for a televised premier address and social media promotional videos. cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/…

theglobeandmail.com/canada/a… Another day, another UCP scandal where the same names keep coming up. Premier Danielle Smith repeatedly claimed her government knew nothing about the contractors selected to build Indigenous recovery centres, insisting those decisions were made independently. Now, court filings allege the government actually recommended a contractor linked to Sam Mraiche, a businessman with deep connections to the Premier’s inner circle. So what exactly did the Premier know, and when? During my time as Infrastructure Minister, these projects fell under Minister Dan Williams’ portfolio, with direct involvement from the Premier’s office. These recovery centre contracts were among the serious concerns that led me to approach cabinet to call for a public inquiry and ultimately contributed to my resignation as Minister. A year and a half later, the same politically connected individuals keep appearing, and the questions continue to mount. Albertans deserve answers about the role played by Minister Williams, the Premier’s office, and who benefited from these contracts. Enough with the denials and deflection. Albertans deserve full disclosure. #alberta #abpoli #ableg #abtory #ucp #accountability

Wherein Mitch Sylvestre says on tape that Dani knew about the separatists negotiating with the US before they even left the province… And her press secretary doesn’t even deny it. #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
An interesting update in the separatist discussion. Mitch Sylvestre told Separation Anxiety back in March that he met with the premier before his September trip. Link to podcast: pod.link/6811266682

I wonder why the privatization of Healthcare and Education isn't on the referendum. Or data centers, or provincial police, or time changes etc. etc..etc.

Is @ctvedmonton TV giving extra time to the seppies?? Their 7 am news had a piece on them, plus a short discussion. It was a one sided newscast & that needs to be called out, imo. If they are ~30% of the vote, why give them 100%? #Ableg #Abpoli #edmmedia

It is exhausting. Every single time it’s grievance politics. Blame the Feds. Every time. And this electorate buys it. Every single time. Over and over and over.
