In his honor of Andrew Brokes, showing solidarity and mourning with the Durham Fire Department, the Hunter Street water tower is illuminated red tonight.
Please join me in prayers, love, and support to his family, members of the Durham Fire Department, and the City of Durham
We’re holding off on ice cream for breakfast today.
My heart is heavy as I process the devastating news out of Bend, Oregon, where a tragic shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School took the lives of three young children and a teacher.
Tragedies like this shake us to our core
mental health resources, and the support our children, educators, and families need.
I remain committed to doing everything possible to dedicate the personnel and resources necessary to strengthen school safety in our community. Our children deserve to learn, grow, and
Man on the Street at Publix. 🎤
One question. No politics. No division. Just listening to our people and finding what matters most.
I found it at Publix.
I just want to show up, find solutions, and get to work.

Monday evening, our community welcomed home a hero.
I was honored to be there as the Patriot Guard Riders escorted Private First Class Ethan James Brewer from RDU back to his hometown of Apex.
Ethan was a graduate of Apex High School, making his return home especially
this incredibly difficult time.
Ethan made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. His sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his legacy will forever live on in our community and across our country.
Please join me in keeping the Brewer family in your prayers.
Another fun Latino Arts Festival in Apex yesterday! 💛
And now, a little humor… 😂🎧
We tried to return some money and somehow ended up with each other’s AirPods.
He got fluffy pancakes. 🥞
I got Sabrina Carpenter. 😂
Just another day in the Peak! #apexnc
Twenty-five years later, we gather not simply to remember a day, but to remember the lives changed forever. What we witnessed that morning was unimaginable heartbreak, but what we witnessed in the days that followed was America truly coming together.
For a moment, the things that divided us seemed smaller than the things that united us. While we may have differing opinions on policy today, division cannot define us.
Today is a reaffirmation of my personal commitment to bring that same spirit of unity to my service for Apex—
Tough question… 🤔😂

Great work! This will significantly impact our region! Truly amazing!
Great morning for Fuquay-Varina and the greater southern Wake region! I was proud to join DMV Commissioner Paul Tine, Fuquay-Varina Mayor Bill Harris, Mayor Pro-Tem Marilyn Gardner, and Town Commissioners Charlie Adcock, Bryan Haynes, Larry Smith and Kris Vorren, and State Representative Howard Penny for the announcement of the new DMV office in Fuquay-Varina.
We are going from 4 to 14 examiners at this new office, and it will serve as both a Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Registration location.
This was a promise I made to you, and today I am proud to announce that I delivered on that promise. I am thankful for the partnership with Commissioner Tine and his team. This is huge for our community! #ncpol
