Doug was a truly decent guy and a talented reporter. Although he only recently retired, he was of a different era in the best way. RIP

Everyone knows why Tom Tiffany's campaign blocked @MSpicuzzaMJS from attending today's press gaggle: because she reported on how three billionaires basically own the Republican Party of Wisconsin—especially the last 2 years—with the party transferring tens of millions to Tiffany.
The report referenced isn’t the final word. We plan to have multiple options for our Council to evaluate before the end of the year. We look forward to setting a path forward for our PD and determining the next chapter for the GBPG building the near future.

I'm sorry, but if you fell for the Hunter rebrand, I want to sell you a reverse mortgage.
He's tried and failed to buy our city council and mayor's office, too. Thanks to local voters, volunteers, and the support of Ben, the @WisDems, and other democracy defenders we defeated that effort in the past and will again. The permanent campaign for democracy can never sleep!

The idea that Tom Tiffany will be some firewall against AI data centers is more ridiculous than his bolo tie. A 🧵
His 100% alignment with the MAGA agenda includes his support for Trump 2.0’s signature legislative achievement: slashing Medicaid and Obamacare and ripping food stamps away from 1.5 million American kids to give massive tax cuts to billionaires.
Tom Tiffany wants to site nuclear power plants next to data centers. This should resonate.
Here's a quote from Tom Tiffany on data centers on Feb. 17 on the Vicki McKenna Show:
"They're converting some of the most beautiful farmland in the world to the wind and solar facilities, which they should not be doing. But they're closing down baseload power and that's where ultimately we need to get back to. If there are going to be data centers, you better have the baseload power to be able to support it. And that means we need to adopt nuclear once again. We've done it succesfully in the past, we can do it in the future, including the small modular reactors. We gotta get back to having baseload power where the lights are on all the time. Otherwise we will continue to see these significant rate increases..."
