Small in stature but not in courage, 245 years ago today, RI became the first colony to declare independence by officially renouncing allegiance to King George III. From 1776 to 2021, we’ve kept that free-spirited independence burning brightly. Happy #RIIndependenceDay2021!

Rhode Island may be small, but our economy is mighty on the strength of our small businesses and innovative technologies. As Secretary of Commerce, I will harness that same American ingenuity to create good-paying union jobs and build our economy back better than ever before.

This #VeteransDay, we honor all of those who served, including two members of our union family who served heroically during WWII. It saddens us to say that Cal recently passed away. We will continue to honor him for his service. He will be greatly missed. bit.ly/3piKjEY

Telehealth use is up 11,000% among Medicare beneficiaries & these services are working well for Rhode Island seniors & their doctors. We should carry forward what we are learning from the ongoing pandemic & make these changes permanent.
