Chicago, I’m looking for Pick Up Partners and places to host Puddin’ Parlor Pop Ups. My goal is to introduce more people to my handcrafted banana pudding while also introducing my existing customers to new businesses.

i can’t speak for all muas, BUT my wedding pricing comes with me traveling to the venue (usually farther than a local house call), a touch-up kit, a trial look (multiple trials if needed!), face mask, and longer-lasting makeup. additionally, i can allot more time to pay SUPER close attention to every single little detail. i spend 30-60 minutes on a typical client, but for a bride i can spend 90+ minutes on perfecting every last bit of her makeup.
regarding the makeup’s lasting power, it’s not as simple as “all your makeup should be meant to last all day!” for weddings, muas often use products such as duraline to ensure longevity. this is a product that should NOT be used regularly, but makes sense for something like a wedding. if you’re getting your makeup done for a date night, you don’t need it to be glued to your face for 12 hours. wedding makeup is HARD to remove if done properly.
there are definitely A LOT of predatory professionals in the wedding industry, but if you’re paying extra then you should expect more! it’s 100% a red flag if an mua is charging a higher price without a higher quality of service :D
I was supposed to vend an event tonight but I’m sick. I’m sad because I was looking forward to it and I also just hate to cancel on anyone last minute :(
I don’t know why I keep falling for people saying they’ll help me. I end up doing this by myself every. fucking. time. Every sticker, every HAND WRITTEN ORDER TICKET, every spoon, every flight box.. like… okay. Cool.
