NAZA succeeded where so many have failed: it got Israelis talking about how we fought in Gaza. But to answer the IDF's response to it, you don't need to see the film. You just need to be able to count to 200. My latest for @haaretzcom haaretz.com/opinion/2026-10-…

Israel heads to the polls. America heads toward the midterms. For Jewish communities, the politics of both countries are colliding at once. On October 11, Haaretz comes to Brooklyn for a live event with the journalists covering the stories shaping Israel, the U.S. and the relationship between them. Is Israel using political activity to decide who can immigrate? My colleague @lizarozovsky has the scoop about 2 Jews whose approvals for aliyah appear to have been revoked over their West Bank activism. This is a major development of intense concern to American Jews. -->

.@gracekgilson covered the protest outside NAZA's North American premiere, where dozens accused the documentary about Israel's calculated mass killing of Palestinians in Gaza as being "full of lies." Most (if not all) of the protesters hadn't seen the film haaretz.com/us-news/2026-09-…

“Dangerous, unhinged”: In an interview with Haaretz ahead of the New York premiere of NAZA, director Yuval Abraham reacted for the first time to Benjamin Netanyahu likening the documentary – which reveals the intelligence system behind the killing of thousands of Gazans – to firing “dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel.” Abraham said “it’s clear what he’s trying to say, but it won’t silence the film or the Israeli officers and soldiers talking in the film.” | Full interview with Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor will be on Haaretz.com on Sunday | @Etanetan23

Efforts to 'revoke' Ed Miliband’s Jewishness and the Israeli citizenship of the NAZA Gaza documentary directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor signal a dark, ignorant and authoritarian form of thought and identity policing | My analysis in @haaretzcom haaretz.com/israel-news/isra…

Israel’s Culture Minister Miki Zohar said Sunday he will work to revoke the citizenship of Oscar-winning filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor after their documentary “NAZA” won the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival. The film examines what it describes as Israel’s “calculated mass killing” of Palestinian civilians in Gaza and features testimony from IDF intelligence officers and soldiers. Zohar called the film “vile” and said it “constitutes treason.” 🔗haaretz.com/israel-news/isra…
