Final stat of the world championships is that Wu Yize is the second player in a Crucible history to win his semi final 17-16 and the final 18-17. The other one being Peter Ebdon in 2002 when he beat Matthew Stevens and Stephen Hendry both in deciders. #almanac

Right. What next.
Wednesday - Seniors
Next Wednesday - Asia Q School
Week after - UK Q School
June - Championship League
💪
Shows how well both Shaun and Wu were playing for it to go to a deciding frame and finish just shy of 10.30pm. What a final!
🇨🇳🇨🇳It took about 10-15 years longer than the BBC pundits predicted but we are finally in the golden age for Chinese snooker.
Back-to-back champions after only one finals appearance is truly astonishing.

I don’t think I’d have played that opening red in the middle down the club on my own 🤣 incredible break to win the decider 👏🏻

Don’t say I told you so. Congratulations Wu Yize.
You know I’m a sucker for Wu Yize but honestly he could win the world championship in less than 5 years #dont@me #bolderpredictionsthan @TSnooker102 😂

Wu Yize is the youngster world champion (22 years old) since Stephen Hendry in 1990
He is the second youngest overall.
What a phenomenal talent this lad is 👏
