Salvador Dali in 1975: "Today, we can program simple mathematical objects... The next step is to create cybernetically prepared spectacles through which we can program the ideas we are thinking in our brain... this will allow programming on the basis of simple geometric images."

I lied, we aren't watching overlooked gothic films from the 70's, we're watching the sequel to the VVitch, the VVVitch. The entire film consists of Willem Defoe reading the Malleus Malafactorum in a burning church to children wearing the actual clothes plague-victims were buried in. It's in black and white and its runtime is 8 hours and 32 minutes.

You can redesign a character until it’s unrecognisable, and yet something inside you recognises it before you even realise why.
That’s when it ceases to be design and becomes myth.

I've built my kids an instrument that cannot be played badly. Any key, any two keys, any random bashing... it always sounds intentional: intonation, pentatonic by default. When you shake it, it plays back the notes my kid just played. When you tilt it it changes the vibe.
It's called "grajek" Polish for a little fiddler, the kind who plays at a village wedding. Hard to translate, but easy to hold for the little hands.
Under the toy there's a "serious" engine: 11-limit just intonation in the spirit of Harry Partch, sympathetic string resonators, an echo tape that ages every pass, and no BPM anywhere (the pulse locks to your playing).
Whole thing done on @M5Stack Cardputer-ADV, ~$60 off the shelf.
