C’est pourquoi mon gouvernement prend des mesures : dès la fin septembre, le commissaire aux drogues bruxellois prendra ses fonctions et élaborera une stratégie globale et intégrée ; l’utilisation des trottinettes électriques – malheureusement souvent prises par les criminels – est restreinte ; et cette année, en tant que métropole, nous investissons 68 millions d’euros dans la sécurité et la prévention, par le biais de la police et des communes.
Mais le reste du pays ferait bien d’écouter également les propositions du procureur Julien Moinil @OMP_BE qui bénéficie de mon soutien total. #bruxelles

Interesting for me in Madrid is how much mopeds are everywhere illegally parked on sidewalks but they constitute neither an issue or get fined. On the contrary shared escooters that are usually well parked are a major “order” problem leading to a possible ban.
Looking at the window after having spent the night waking up because of the noise of the cars, trucks and motorbikes. Thinking that once again I will probably need to defend today why small, silent, pollution-free & shared escooters have a right to exist in a dense city.

As Madrid threatens to stop shared escooter services (due to safety concerns?), here are our data:
-Severe injuries: 0 in 2 years
-Other injuries reported: 2 in 2024 (or 5.7/million km). None involved a third party.
-94% escooters parked properly

Very exhaustive report on EVs @IEA but…. should you not also include micromobility which - funny enough - sells and operates now more vehicles than traditional EVs in Europe? Not even a mention on a 160p report. Is it not a trend worth mentioning if not reporting on?
When will @Eurostar finally increase their trains from Amsterdam to Paris? Some weeks it is almost impossible to book trains, even weeks ahead, trains are full for entire days & only options are (cheaper) flights…..
