Introducing my next big project 🚀
pro-ui.dev/
If you're building Real Deal Software™ - this is an absolute must see
ProUI is a component library that gives your product my 5+ year experience building pro apps both native and on the web.
Let's dive in 👇🏻
The next release of Director.sh will Jev-mog so hard it's not even funny. y'all are not prepared
In other news, Golden Gate UI fixes went out earlier today in v1.4.2
wow, shocker
who could've seen that coming
if only someone could've seen that coming
I wouldn't be as shocked
but alas
I am in complete shock
OpenAI and Anthropic oversold AI security breaches to pressure feds into protecting turf: insiders trib.al/Jo6xMk5
Idk if it's just me but Golden Gate completely broke the menu bar
clicking anywhere on it, including the fucking menus and icons shows Mission Control now
who the fuck approved this after the entire beta period
how is Craig Federighi still VP of software
macOS 27 is the first one in a while that I didn't use during the beta period
I find it's UI choices deeply irritating
there's gotta be a code red going on in all 3 frontier labs rn cause one of like four primary use cases is now done better, faster and cheaper by Jev
Classification with LLMs is dead
The dev tools market remains but I don't know for how long
Image and video (+gen) remain for now
Investors just asked @CompleteSkeptic if we would raise prices and boy did they regret that
We're profitable at current prices.
We're gonna make it cheaper.
We're here for the builders.
Jev: on
Before Dario releases Covid-27 let's isolate him in a small confined space
ANTHROPIC BUILDS BIOLOGY LAB TO PUSH AI INTO DRUG DEVELOPMENT
Anthropic has quietly established a Bay Area wet lab, moving its life-sciences ambitions beyond computer simulations and into physical biological experiments.
The company wants Claude to direct laboratory robots with limited human intervention, potentially accelerating research into rare and traditionally “undruggable” diseases.
Anthropic says it will focus on preclinical research rather than clinical trials, avoiding direct competition with pharmaceutical companies.
One of my favorite things about UX research is that ain't nobody never read no goddamn UX research
Never do this, the golden rule of UX design is to never fuck with user expectations
This is about as bad as ride apps snapping your location pin to the other side of the building

locally running Jev with vision capability will be the actual end of a thousand startups
you're not seeing it yet
but *your* company, anon, is running out of time and going out of business
Model routing is solved!
Director.sh 1.4.1 update is live with experimental (but pretty good) auto routing powered by Jev @typesafeai
Works using your own keys via the API if you're off the waitlist or via Vercel AI Gateway
Can be configured per-thread or per-turn
talking to Yapthropic models in director.sh using the new yap reduce toggle is borderline pleasant, goddamn
"hyperefficient code" and it's "let's put SwiftData I/O directly in the path of the slider drag on every tick"
bro make some software pls
so, if Jev is so cheap and so fast, it's gotta be small enough to run locally, right?
anyone working on open source one?
pro-ui.dev's knobs might be the most lickable UI components ever made imo
