Added a bit more to the story 😅 Apex really is “with no safety net” — don’t expect your skates to help much with stopping.
Thankfully, tekkusai gave it some texture. The surface feedback actually helps a lot when you need to stop through hand control.
Tried the TALONGAMES UltraPad S3 Mayo. Compared to the Inari, the more pronounced texture gives it even more speed and feedback.
Especially liked it with UHMW-PE skates: they don’t kill the speed, while making stops feel more comfortable and controlled.
Just when I thought there was nothing new left to discover in glide feel… really looking forward to trying skates made from a new material.
PEEK was built using bespoke components sourced from outside of our existing facilities that allow further customisation and mass-production of more interesting & exotic materials, this now gives us the creative freedom to bring a few more ambitious ideas to life.
PEEK is just the beginning of a whole new series of non-generic mouse skate projects that standout from the norm.
Glad to have you along for the ride 👻

Tried Obsidian Air, Kumo, Jade and Magic Ice on the TALONGAMES Hydrogen. So far, Hydrogen + Magic Ice is my favorite combo: smooth, enjoyable tracking with predictable clicking.
Tested the Talongames Hydrogen with Obsidian Air skates. It’s incredibly fast, but what surprised me most is how much stopping confidence it still has.
Tracking and micro-adjustments are excellent for a cloth pad. A rare balance of speed, control and static aim. 💪😀
Been testing the new UWS Magic Ice Plus.
Surprisingly, despite being speed skates, they've been giving me my best static scores on the Talongames Inari so far.
Wow... Lycan.
After a few hours of use, it almost disappears in your hand. But what surprised me even more was how effortlessly it allows micro-corrections.
Even when the initial trajectory isn't perfect, the mouse makes it incredibly easy to recover mid-flick.
If Polarity aims to disappear beneath your mouse, then INARI almost disappears when you pick it up.
It's the thinnest and lightest glass mousepad I've ever tried. Obviously that doesn't make you aim any better, but it was the very first thing I noticed.
Let's take a closer look
