If you really think about it, this is like the modern day Faustus. A man so consumed by curiosity, ambition and intellectual thirst that he made a mephistophelean bargain nary giving a thought to what that knowledge would cost him.
Unprivating my account just to say this: Gladlands was really good. A fun silly romp for the first few eps, not memorable, but fun. The latter half is the Dropout cast at their most engine and vulnerable, and I don’t think we will get a season quite like it again.

Do we forget the part where he’s implicated in a mass shooting? Sure, of course he didn’t encourage it, but there’s something to be said about the fact that he certainly didn’t condemn racism/hate in his own audience, which led to a hate crime and shooting.
