19 December 1843. A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens was first published in book form in the UK. It tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miser, who is visited by ghost of his business partner, Jacob Marley, and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.

Ok…then fuck it, since you’ll never see it. I can let you know. I won the whole thing and made the best dishes ever tasted on the show. Gregg Wallace said, and I quote- “this quiche is so tasty that I’m going to pull its pants down and roger it senseless right now.”

Darwin Nunez: "I went to bed many times with an empty stomach, but the one who went to bed that way the most was my mother. Whenever there was a lack of food, my mother would give us hers. I always said that if I managed to become a professional footballer, with enough money to buy a property, I would gift her a new house. My father worked in construction, and when I didn't have boots to play football, he would try to find something so I could go to training and play the game. He had to work nine hours to buy me something and to provide for us. My mother would always go out to the streets to sell bottles. I grew up in a poor neighborhood, played barefoot, and have broken more than one toe. When I arrived at Almería, that’s what I did: I bought six hectares of land and arranged it for her. I will never forget where I come from..." 🥺🥺

This man was born 80 years ago today. He could still drink you under the table. He could still make you laugh harder than anyone you’ve ever met. He could still make you feel like you’re the only person in the room. He could still give you the best advice you’ve ever gotten and make you feel loved no matter what. He’s an American treasure. There is only one @DannyDeVito

Zoe's Place – a beloved children's hospice in my constituency – will close unless we raise £5 million. If any city can do it, Liverpool can. But it shouldn't take charity to care for those in need. My letter to the Chancellor calling for proper funding of children's hospices:

This is the crux of it and what it means to be in a unitary state. The SARS wankers can fuck right off.

One of the main problems with British policy on Russia is bad intelligence. They listen to Russian exiles with an axe to grind who still think Russia is living in the 90's or in Soviet days. And there's a big part of the British Intelligence community who thinks it's Britains destiny to be in some kind of eternal struggle with Russia. They have this foaming at the mouth hatred. And hatred doesn't make for sound policy. These people arn't patriots. They are zeolots. I read the articles they plant in the mainstream press. Its scary. The delusion. And its the UK who are at the forefront of campaining for NATO missiles to be used deep inside Russia. Even in the face of common sense, military reality and the American intel agencies telling them the blindingly obvious... That it won't effect the outcome of the war. And will likely damage western interests elsewhere in the world due to Russia's asymmetric response. They have become desperate in their delusion. The world has changed. British policy needs to change with it. This extremist wing of the British Foreign policy establishment are our greatest threat to national security. The Ukrainian counter offensive. The Kursk suicide mission. Storm Shadow missiles deep into Russia. Those who advocated these policies need to be demoted. There needs to be accountability. Or disastrous British foreign policy will only continue.
