Productivity has more than doubled in the last 50 years so why have our working hours barely budged?Rethinking the future of work to prioritise leisure time over ever-growing consumption could be the key to unlocking a greener, low-carbon future.

Ay my solo show will be on at #edfringe this year!
Pash is a queer comedy about the sweat-inducing terror, joy and sliminess of a first kiss.

This week the Morrison government appointed a bunch of ‘mates’ to key statutory positions. Much of the commentary has focused on nepotism - which is fair enough because it is pretty revolting.
But I reckon this is just another step in a deliberate wrecking agenda 🧵: #auspol

Most people don't realise this, but the majority of high-income nations have already significantly exceeded their fair share of the carbon budget for 2 degrees. Their "zero by 2050" targets are therefore woefully inadequate.

This is what I was referring to last night in the linked thread. We need @VicGovDHHS to explain why some people aren’t at least getting a phone call to say ‘hey get tested’ when they HAVE ACCESS TO THE DETAILS. xitter.cf/drvyom/status/13460484…
Anyone who says contact tracing is working in Victoria is just plain wrong. Of 10 people I know who attended Bodriggy Brewery at same time as infected person. Not one has been contacted or messaged by @VicGovDHHS about testing and isolating for rest of the week. Not one.

After seven years of Scott Morrison, Australian jobs and exports are more dependent on China than ever.
In fact, Australia depends on the Chinese market more than any other country.
And he still hasn’t delivered a plan to diversify our economy, help exporters and save jobs.

Congratulations, @JoeBiden.
Together, we have a planet to save from a #ClimateEmergency and a global economy to build back better from #COVID19.
Now, more than ever, we need the USA at the helm of these multilateral efforts (and back in the #ParisAgreement — ASAP!)

Kevin has done well to get this petition going. I doubt it will result in a Royal Commission and Murdoch’s print monopoly (since 1987) is only part of the problem. But I have signed it and encourage others to do so.
Australians have watched with growing anger at what the Murdoch media monopoly is doing to our country. A cancer on democracy.
Today I am launching a national petition to establish a #MurdochRoyalCommission.

The World Bank is upset that Bhutan's old-growth forests are just standing there, doing nothing, when they could be turned into Ikea furniture.
71% of #Bhutan's territory is covered in forest, but with a contribution of only about 2% to GDP per year, the forest sector remains underutilized. How can the country sustainably invest in its forests? wrld.bg/ybEL50ykTbd

This is a picture of voter suppression. Why do Americans have to wait in lines this long? This is the line in Suwannee Georgia today to vote.
